At RK San, time-honoured cooking techniques and traditions meet creativity, resulting in a menu of contemporary Japanese cuisine that extends way beyond the expected. Seafood lovers will be delighted with the range of fishy favourites, like the fresh sashimi and the hand rolled sushi, while the menu features plenty of meat and vegetable options too, from braised pork belly with carrot purée, dashi soy glaze and cumin crumble, to karaage chicken and zucchini flower tempura. For the full Japanese experience, pair your meal with some sake from the lengthy selection. Found on Cleveland Street in Surry Hills, RK San attracts guests from all over Sydney for dinner, every day of the week. To guarantee a table, making a reservation beforehand is recommended.
Interesting modern Japanese with unique dishes like the cigar. Was given a free dish because something wanted to order wasn't available. Portions aren't big so need several dishes to fill up
A small new Japanese restaurant just off the crown st food strip. Great food not a pretentious, setting but good service and a wide selection of Japanese styles. Even our teenage boys found something to like
We had 5 meal course dating menu which is value for money and added few meals outside the package. Maguro Hana is a good meal to start the course. But, the dessert let us down. We are not a fan of mixing panna cotta with raspberry strawberry sauce.
