The people behind Roseville’s Salt Pepper Nutmeg believe in good old fashioned hospitality and traditional cooking, so at this cosy restaurant on Pacific Highway you won’t find any of the latest food fads, just hearty homemade cuisine and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Serving up new takes on Italian, French and Australian classics with breakfast, lunch and dinner options all available, at Salt Pepper Nutmeg the menu changes regularly to incorporate seasonal produce. That said, you can reliably expect to find dishes like the bowl of the sea (a stew of fresh seafood, simmered in fennel, thyme, dry chili and bay leaves and seasoned with saffron, stock, white wine and tomato) and an array of rustic pasta dishes. Excellent food with generous helpings. Top and efficient service from a smiling and engaging waiter. Being an extremely hot day ice was requested and it arrived pronto! A most enjoyable lunch with the ladies.
As always, delicious food, great coffee, friendly and appropriately attentive friendly staff. The menu changes regularly, but old favourites can be requested. Bumped into old friends there.
