We were a Party of 4 and had a great selection of entrees and a couple of main dishes. Overall every dish was delicious and we struggled to finish in the end. Definitely going back to try some of the other dishes. Highly recommend the MORIAWASE as there was something for everyone's tastes. The Yakitori was melt in your mouth chicken with great flavours. The OKONOMIYAKI was my favourite dish but you can't go past the tempura dish TEMPURA MORIAWASE which had a good mix of seafood and vegetables.

Food is lovely but they do not have enough wait staff. We waited 35 mins for first contact for a drink and an hour before we could order food. Both times we had to ask for service.

We had a booking at 6pm for three people, we were second in the restaurant. The restaurant started to fill up as we were having our main dishes, our daughter's meal we had to ask where it was. Then as we are finishing, three adults were squashed onto a smaller table and they complained. The owner came over and said can we have this table for those people, so we were rushed out. We didn't get to order desserts, the owner knowing we were celebrating a birthday. The bill was more expensive than our usual Japanese restaurant and the food was not as good.

We told the staff that one of the chicken meals(age) was not very nice and asked them what were the ingredients. We couldn't finish that meal but the rest was very good.

Very busy night. Service was slow at start, then a flurry of dishes, but a bit of a wait for the last main. But service was pleasant. Food is always good.

We ordered a bottle of wine and they brought us 2 glasses of wine. Then the bottle, charged us for both. Ordered our food, waited, had to ask the waiter about our order, got the entre, then 1 main meal served, asked the waiter again for my wife's meal, took another 10 minutes to arrive. Not how meals should be served. Will not go back nor recommend.

Service was slow even though the restaurant was not busy. We waited for more than an hour for our mains.

We have been dinning at Sapporo as a couple and with friends for some years now, it is one of our favourite restaurants and the best Japanese food we have experienced , we highly recommend it

Everyone has their favorite little restaurant and Sapporo is ours. We travel 25 mins every couple of months to enjoy a meal here. Sushi and sashimi are perfect and we always order natural oysters and tempura prawns too because their seafood is ALWAYS fantastic. Thank you Karl and Josephine for providing such a high quality Japanese dining experience in the eastern suburbs. ❤️

Sapporo is our local Japanese go to restaurant. We enjoy it very much and have been frequenting for last 3 - 4 years. Owners are wonderful people.

Noisy, staff struggled with English so didn’t understand our requests. Food was ok. We’ve been a few times but I think I might give it a miss in the future
