Excellent service and extremely accommodating to change of the table.
The location is awesome. Food was very good. Would like a bigger range of choices. Generally great service and food! Nice staff too.
Thank you, delicious food , and very quick and friendly service
Very welcoming staff. Our meals were delicious. Lovely ambience. We will return to try the sweets.
Lovely fresh food. Halloumi Salad with Pesto & Tomatoes was delicious and well priced at $13. Lovely lemon curd and blueberry cake to finish. Our booking was at 1pm and we were still there at 3.15pm. The staff were happy for us to sit and chat as they went about their duties. Great courtyard especially at this time of year.
Beautiful food as always, delicious and a great range to choose from. Absolutely love the court yard, lovely space to have a relaxing brekkie and chat. Staff was really friendly and helpful, thoughtful too. Can get quite noisy when more crowded with little children running about the yard but that’s to be expected! So all in all a great brunch experience, highly recommend.
Great food, served quickly. Good variety of options. Great place for a catch up.
The staff at Sassafras Canteen were prompt with the service and food and very hospitable too.
Great service and very helpful staff. Food was pretty good.
Our group of six shared Breakfast and coffee in comfort, with attentive service, great coffee, tasty food prepared with a willingness to accommodate special dietary needs
Visited for Mothers Day breakfast. Couldn't be more happier with the service and food.
Great dog friendly cafe. Delicious breakfast, smooth coffee and friendly staff.
our table wasn't ready when we arrived so we had to stand around for a while, very busy place though.
Food and service was great. Will definitely be going back.
Great place for a Sunday lunch, nice food and friendly staff
An old favorite of ours in Paddo, still doing great work.
friendly staff, great choice of food, welcoming relaxed atmosphere, convenient location
I really like this cafe. Lovely coffee. Great breakfast range. I loved my eggs benedict(salmon)! Beautifully seasoned and the toast was delicious. My friend's Chilli corn fritters needed more pep. They were a little bland. Overall, though, we'll be back.
Nice range of food and drinks. Good for people with dogs. Keep in mind in summer it is hot out in the courtyard where the dogs are allowed. Courtyard music can sometimes get loud which makes conversation hard
I really enjoyed sitting in the lovely garden with my friends and my little dog. The food was good, tried something different, and really enjoyed it. Our orders came out quickly and the service was good. Will be back.
This place requires a booking on weekends otherwise you won’t get a table. Dog friendly in the open back courtyard. Limited seating inside which makes getting a table on rainy days difficult. Minimal off street parking. Great atmosphere, good food but no table service. Worth a visit.
Great bacon and egg breakfast and the kids chocolate and caramel milkshakes were delicious! Our dog loved sitting under the table in the courtyard too!
I'm allergic to gluten and casein (dairy protein). My experience at Sassafras made me want to move to Paddington. The front counter and chef were completely receptive to me allergies and the food was delicious. I had a big brekky. The best I have had regardless. I feel very nervous when I eat out. Our next meeting will be there.
I was very glad I booked a table in advance as this was clearly a very popular place for Sunday morning. In spite of the number of people present we had a sense of privacy at our table in the shade in the back courtyard. The staff were really friendly, cheerful and responsive without hovering, and the breakfast was delicious. The cold brew coffee was perfect for a warm Brisbane morning. A very relaxed atmosphere.
Sassafras had great food. Their service was quick and good variety to choose from. There is good atmosphere out the back and dogs are allowed.
Lovely coffee and food. I had the avo on toast which was yum. Loved that the cafe is dog friendly. I Would definitely go again
Sassafras cafe is situated in a lovely old Queenslander with eating available in a private, shady backyard. Dogs are welcome. Good variety, fresh produce and all meaks were served at the same time! Staff are lovely and very accommodating. Tip: eating outside is a little quieter than inside. It can be cold outside but they do have outdoor heating.
Great food and excellent service. Good vegetarian options and very friendly staff. Good coffee and being licenced is an added bonus. Lots of special offers and meal deals. Highly recommend
Sassafras Canteen is a lovely place to have a bite and catch up. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Buddha bowl was super overpriced. Supposed to contain legumes and vegetables but I got a few pieces of beetroot and potato with watercress. Food took a very long time to come.
It was great food, good sized platefuls, very tasty. Son INHALED the honey and lime prawns fettucini. Hubby had the salmon, loved it too. Daughter and I had the pulled pork and bacon with fries, great as a starter to share, not so much as a meal. The menu is compact but varied, something for all of us. Are looking forward to having breakfast there another day. And taste tested the blueberry yoghurt cake - that will be a winner when it hits the menu.
Enjoyed pleasant live guitar music on a Sunday afternoon, Prompt and good service in an appealing, leafy courtyard. Range offered on menu, delicious fruit smoothies.
Food was excellent and atmosphere great to celebrate Mothers Day. The whole family enjoyed the experience. Place was packed. There was options for all. Fabulous.
Great food and coffee. Beautiful courtyard. Extra friendly service. And a resident lizard who is spectacular and fun to watch. Will come back for a drink and to try a main next time.
Loved the HUGE dog friendly area around the back and the dog friendly items on the menu! The food was only ok, however I would definitely go back again for the atmosphere.
Great service and a wide range of high quality food - lovely garden environment outside and the staff are so helpful and pleasant to deal with. I would go back anytime.
Fabulous breakfast and lunch (Loved the long morning breakfast option) with friends in the garden out the back, great food and lovely service, even thought they were super busy on a Saturday morning.
I visited Sassafras for breakfast on the weekend. Our food came before our coffees, the pancakes were ricotta based but it was like the batter had not been mixed properly and the coffee was average when it eventually came.
Breakfast was amazing! Sitting outside was really peaceful and the service was pretty good. Would like to come for Dinner one night, the atmosphere is pretty chilled.
The table was set up and ready to go, the staff were extremely on top of our orders and servicing us and the food and coffee were tasty!
