Start your meal at Scherhazade Indian Cuisine off with some of their irresistible entrees, like tandoori oven-fired chicken or a choice of various pakoras, then move onto contemplating their lengthy menu of beef, lamb, chicken, seafood and of course vegetarian curries and rice dishes. Some of our favourites include the classic butter chicken, the beef korma and the chef’s special pepper fry. You can find something as hot or mild as you like, as well as traditional Indian desserts like a frozen almond and pistachio kulfi. The broad selection and great atmosphere make Scherhazade ideal for groups, so book ahead early and look forward to a satisfying Indian banquet in Mornington.
If you're after the basics like pakora, tandoori chicken, lamb korma, butter chicken etc. then you can't beat the great value of their buffet for $21.90 pp. A meal for two for $45.00 is very inexpensive these days (& we were full). They also have their a la carte menu. We like it as its BYO and relatively quiet so you can hear others talk. Only disappointment is we couldn't get a coffee at 8.30pm as we were told the kitchen was closed. (Friday night????).
Great food! The banquet was recommended to us and it didn't disappoint. This restaurant has been around for years and it's clear why - their food is great and the naan breads are to die for.
The food was so delicious and well priced. Staff lovely. Will definitely go again and will recommend to all my friends. We even got a 10% discount for liking them on Facebook - which I was going to do anyway!
