Sometimes names can be misleading – but not here. Shangrila Authentic Nepalese delivers just that. Traditional, delicious Nepalese fare in Perth often gets clumped together with the cuisine of its big southern brother, with generic Indian restaurants offering a few Himalayan specialties. Not here on Wanneroo Road, though. Yokine’s Shangrila Authentic Nepalese provides authentic (surprise, surprise) versions of tasty Nepalese staples like Nepalese goat curry, kalo Himali dal (with black lentils), and a traditional Nepalese aloo tama bodi. You can mop it all up with some wholesome Nepalese and Indian breads, wash it down with a refreshing drinks selection and do it all over again whenever the cravings come on thanks to Shangrila’s very reasonable prices. That said, it’s a good place for special occasions, too, just remember to book a table ahead of time because they often get very busy.

Great Nepalese/ Indian food. Midweek tends to be quiet and the service is good. I have been there with just myself and partner and found that we could not eat everything - it is all so tasty and fresh (best I have had in Perth) and this time we went with our daughter, her partner and my brother so that we were able to get a greater range of dishes. It was a real treat. I would recommend getting a group together so that you can get a range of dishes and then go for it. Checken saag, rogan josh, tandoori kebabs, the Nepalese goat curry - all recommended. Try it out.
The food was great. The service was pleasant but average. Very quiet, we were the only customers. We would go back again. Value for money good. Didnt realise it was BYO till we got there.
