Shukah in Windsor is the place to head for delicious Middle Eastern cuisine in Melbourne. Located on Chapel Street, not far from St Kilda Pier, this venue serves a wide range of popular Armenian sharing dishes alongside plenty of beer and expertly made cocktails. Aubergine lovers should try the baba ganoush served with flatbread, while other standouts include the fritters stuffed with feta cheese and the broad bean falafel. At the heart of the menu though, are grilled specials like whole barramundi cooked in a spicy chermoula marinade and the Lebanese pizza topped with lamb and herbs. To wet your whistle, you’ll find an extensive wine and drinks list with plenty of options to suit everyone. Reservations are Shukah Melbourne are essential.
I have been to Sezar and had a fantastic experience, so my expectations for Shukah was quite high. We started with Babaganoush 😋 which was excellent, but all the other dishes were hard to please. BBQ Chicken lacked zing and Toasted lamb manti was unevenly cooked, so we couldn’t finish it. I haven’t given up yet, so will be returning to try other dishes.
this food is always so good! love it! cant wait to go back again and try more of the menu, the wine is also really good!
