Sister to Melbourne’s well-loved Glamorama, the nail-bitingly good Spare Me Kitchen is a specialist in bringing people together using contemporary Australian cooking. It’s actually housed inside Glamorama so the chique Brunswick Street location in Fitzroy is already marked on people’s radars, and as an outlet for fine Australian food as well as premium sound, music and drinks, Spare Me isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a place for all parties, big or small, whether there’s two of you or 50 – you can spend your whole night here. At Spare Me Kitchen it’s about having a good time and the dedicated, passionate staff are there to assist you in doing just that.
If you are dining (and we’re assuming you are, otherwise why else would you be here?), you have an impressive variation of handcrafted burgers and some seriously satisfying fried chicken to look forward to. Spare Me has zingy salads on offer as well, but you’d be wise to the Burg is the Word New Orleans-inspired chicken burger, as well as the vegetarian Hello Me to You option – both are fantastic. Diners of Fitzroy and Melbourne will also be pleased to hear that the Spare Me menu caters proudly for vegans as well as people who can’t eaten gluten or dairy. This, as well as plenty else, it was makes this modern Australian restaurant so popular.
this was a lovely place for a small birthday dinner, good ambience, good service and a great menu. The only thing to pick on would be, bills cannot be split and there is a fees for bringing your own cake.
Delicious food, though for 2 of 5 people that were eating there, we did wait a little while for the food to arrive, but overall great service and will definitely go back for the eye fillet!!
While I was waiting on my party to join me, the waiter offered us a free entree to share for my birthday. Very thoughtful and delicious!!
Great atmosphere, starters, and efficient, friendly yet discreet service. Limited wine choices. All the food was delicious but the soft shell crab burger was way too salty.
The service was good but had to wait awhile to receive the food. There aren't too many menu options and would be great if there were
