Sushi & Grill - York Street

It was a busy Thursday night but we managed to snag a room. However, there were only 2 waiters who also did the till and the bar. Towards 8 p.m., we couldn't even get dessert after several buzzes. To be fair, the food was good so was the sake. They just needed extra muscle to serve all guests on time.

Great food and service. Large choice of meals. Came with my family to enjoy afternoon and wasn't disappointed. Definitely will came again and recommend to my friends.

excellent fresh food, and friendly service. Good substantial size portions, great beer, and the best sake. conveniently located in York St near Queen Victoria Building. Sometimes difficult to get seats.

Used a Scoopon voucher for a 9 course degustation menu. Wasn't expecting too much for just $25 per person. But I was wrong. The service was pleasant. The food was Delicious, plentiful and well-presented. Excellent value!

One of the best experiences at a smaller restaurant I have ever had. Quality food, quality service. There is rely nothing that I can fault about Sushi and Grill.

Super good experience!! Highly recommended. We had a really good deal on a 9 courses dinner for 6 of us. Food was delicious and the dessert was unbeatable.

Staff very lovely and a comfortable atmosphere, food was good too, no complaints, only that the Sake tasted watered down and the teriyaki dishes were mostly rice, but that's the norm with Japanese food

Had the 7 course degustation deal and everything was great , really good value for money ! Service was good and I will definitely be back again

It was delicious but need accessible for stairs, why not use lift stair (machine) for wheelchairs. Also it was excellent services and I love it.

Good except we were asked to share dessert - that seemed quite scrooge-ish and needless.Otherwise we were happy with the food and service, reservation system etc

We had dinner on Offuer voucher. It was a good volume and food was okay. But this Japanese restaurant was managed by non-Japanese and all the cutomers were non-Japanese. It seems to be popular amoung them but service was very un-Japanase which probably one of the reasons they don't get Japanese customers.

The food variety and quality was excellent. The service was great with very friendly staff. I would certainly recommend this one and will be going back again.

We had a 9 course degustation menu there and found the food to be great. The service is lovely service and we also liked the atmosphere.

Service was very good and the food was interesting,plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed the atmosphere and wre able to have privacy at the same time.

Very traditional Japanese in a great location. There wasn't an extensive wine list so we didn't order any wine. The food was good and the service was very good.

this second time for me to go back there .my friend loved the food very much.friendly staffs provided very good service.u can just sit there relaxing to have a meal.

The lunch special is great value and the food is tasty. However, had to wave and get the staffs' attention a couple of times and when asked to have the sushi (which we hadnt eaten) put in a box to take away, we were just given an empty plastic box. I expected them to take it away and pack it up for you rather than a DIY service. Also was not given any chopsticks to pick them up, had to use fingers. So attention to serivce is my reason for 4, rather than 5 or 6.

Do book especially for friday lunch as this is a popular Japanese restaurant. And no wonder with its freshness of food and crisp flavours. Highly recommended with excellent value of money. I've been here several times and the standard is always high and reliable.

Went to Sushi & Grill with a group of friends. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. Ordered the 5 course menu and the food was excellent. The service was quick and on point.

Good place, lots of options regarding the dishes. The sashimis were not that awesome but the warm meals were pretty good. The decor is minimal but that's a nice spot in the end.

Good value, but the last offer was much better. We were hoping that there would be an assortment of vegetable tempura, but this wasn't the case. We each were served a green bean tempura and a very thin slice of lotus root. With the last deal, they included a serving of chicken karaage, but not this time. Still...good value for money!

We have been to this restaurant many times but the menu has been changed and we found that it was not as good for value as it used to be. The food we did have was tasty except for the tofu. s

Amazing food! Fantastic service, always have such a good experience when dining at Sushi & Grill. It is my favourite Asian restaurant in the Sydney CBD.
