In the heart of it all, Sweet Evelyn is a Brunswick staple that’s only going from strength to strength. This cafe and micro-bakery boasts an array of delicious savoury cafe-style dishes like oven-baked mushrooms with pancetta and dukkah and the pulled pork burger topped with orange and apple pulled pork, cheese, lettuce, black beans and pineapple salsa. As well as freshly baked pastries and donuts that go perfectly alongside your freshly-made coffee made from specialty coffee beans by 5 Senses and other leading Melbourne coffee roasters. Located on Union Street, Sweet Evelyn has got to be tried.
The menu was very interesting and we couldn't settle on what to have as many different breakfast variations. The service was good. We went on fathers' day so I'm glad I booked. Not sure how busy a normal Sunday is. We will go back and I will book to be on the safe side. A bit noisy, but then again all cafes are.
We all enjoyed our brunch for Father's Day. We were well looked after and attended to even as a big group with 3 toddlers running amok. The food was delish with a hint of Thai flavours, coffee and service was excellent.
Our visit was great, the friendly and welcoming staff were very attentive, even though it was a busy Father's Day Sunday morning. The food was delicious and service was excellent.
The food was excellent, but it was very crowded and cramped, so not ideal relaxing breakfast conditions! Having said that, we may try again on a weekday as there were a number of menu items that looked delicious that we didn't get to try!
Friendly, attentive staff and nice food served quickly. Excellent for what it sets out to do. I had the mango panacoota and grain which was yummy
