Although it is the fine dining arm of the Shangri-La Gardens motel and function venue, Sylvia’s Restaurant & Wine Bar is the default destination for more than guests looking for breakfast or dinner. Sylvia’s – named after Sylvia Ada Jones, the wife of former Brisbane lord mayor Aid Clem Jones – is a top spot in Wynnum West and the Moreton Bay region for exciting, innovative meals curated by head chef Paul Field, whose kitchen makes exclusive use use of locally-sourced and seasonal produce. Robust cooked or continental breakfasts give way to a dinner menu that, at the time of writing, reflected the winter season in comforting dishes such as the warmed salad of Greek-style mushrooms, Persian feta, slow-roasted tomatoes, rocket and a balsamic glaze, the house filet mignon or the roast spatchcock with sage and onion stuffing, or the vegetarian twice-baked Parmesan souffle. Find Shangri-La Gardens and Sylvia’s Restaurant & Wine Bar along Wynnum Road just south of Wynnum Plaza.

Always kind and considerate service. Nice food and a warm atmosphere. Wynnum's one and only a la carte restaurant. Recommend Sylvias for a special occasion.
