Although it is the fine dining arm of the Shangri-La Gardens motel and function venue, Sylvia’s Restaurant & Wine Bar is the default destination for more than guests looking for breakfast or dinner. Sylvia’s – named after Sylvia Ada Jones, the wife of former Brisbane lord mayor Aid Clem Jones – is a top spot in Wynnum West and the Moreton Bay region for exciting, innovative meals curated by head chef Paul Field, whose kitchen makes exclusive use use of locally-sourced and seasonal produce. The menu features a selection of small plates designed to be shared, including shadows of blue brulee, crispy fried quail and duck live parfait, alongside classics like rib fillet with café de Paris butter and Maryland roast duck with an orange sauce. Fully licenced with an extensive wine list including local craft beers and spirits, Sylvia’s Restaurant & Wine Bar in Wynnum West on Wynnum Road is open for dinner Monday to Saturday, and for breakfast Monday to Friday. It was a very pleasant evening. The staff looked after our every need. We were offered turkish bread as we sat in the comfortable chairs having pre-dinner drinks. The food was excellent and the waiter was very attentive. We dined with you on Friday night last week. We will return.
Amazing night exceptional staff great food will be back, we are celebrating my husband 65th birthday and we looked after by a great team relaxing and enjoyable
Always kind and considerate service. Nice food and a warm atmosphere. Wynnum's one and only a la carte restaurant. Recommend Sylvias for a special occasion.
