About Taj Mahal

In the middle of Braintree town centre, Taj Mahal on Cressing Road is taking diners to a new world, far away from the usual day-to-day life. This authentic Indian restaurant, known to many as ‘The Spice Master’, is something of a legend in Essex, and you’ll find that guests drive from far and wide just to get a taste of the enchanting food on offer. With numerous special offers available throughout the week like their Wednesday Special Gourmet or their great Sunday buffet, there are plenty of chances to save money at this popular Indian restaurant. And no need to worry about the spice here – the menu at Taj Mahal is clearly labeled to show you which dishes are totally mild and which are fiery hot. Book now to save your seats!

Comfortable restaurant with a large selection of good food which is well prepared. Very enjoyable meal and the service is excellent. It was a quiet midweek evening so there wasn't that much of an atmosphere although the traditional music was entertaining but not intrusive. Parking is a bit limited at the restaurant, so it might be worth checking beforehand where is best to park if the car park is full.
