There can be few institutions beloved in Australia as the local neighbourhood curry house. We love nothing more than a trip down to an Indian restaurant on a Friday night, and for those in Shellharbour, the name of the curry house game is Tandoori Junction Restaurant on Addison Street. Their head chef, Dhanpal Rawat, brings over a quarter of a century of experience to bear on the food at Tandoori Junction, with a CV that takes in top end hotels in India, Dubai, Shanghai and Europe, as well as some of the finest Indian restaurants in Australia. His focus is on the cuisine of the North of India and of the Punjab, so expect to encounter classic curries like chicken jalfrezi, prawn peshwari and malai kofta, as well as tandoori fresh favourites from seekh kebabs to chicken tikka. Book a table at Tandoori Junction and prepare yourself for one of the best curry houses in Illawarra – just remember to book ahead, as they are very popular in the local area and do fill up from time to time.

First visit to Tandoori Junction and was very impressed. Friendly staff, lovely food, what more do you want? Would happily go there again and would recommend the place to anyone.
Great food as always! Attentive and friendly service. No longer have alcohol licence but bottle shop is just down the road at the pub. Highly recommend.
