Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
South Yarra residents are raving about Tequila Mexican Restaurant, and we are too! This place has it all: tacos, burritos, nachos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas, salads, margaritas, and everything else you’d expect a proper Mexican restaurant to offer. Colourful and casual, the restaurant’s dining space is ideal for meeting with friends and letting the good times roll. You’ll find this charming restaurant on Melbourne’s Toorak Road, just near the intersection with River Street.

The place no longer exists but still has a website!
We arrived to find the restaurant doesn’t even exist! It’s a Korean restaurant! How can you advertise a restaurant that is not there! We travelled for 30 minutes to get there! Total waste of money and time!
We dined at Tequila last night for a 27th birthday and it was very much a fiesta. Cocktails, sangria, cerveza and nachos were flowing, the mains were all very satisfying and delicious, and to top it all off the desserts hit their mark perfectly. Thank you Tequila, it was a lovely evening.
Close to Tivoli Road tram stop on Melbourne’s busy Toorak Road, Tequila Mexican Restaurant offers their fresh take on Mexican food to a clientele of foodies, heat-seekers and casual diners. Locals visit for the drinks, too, thanks to the South Yarra restaurant’s lengthy beverage menu. Try the berry sangria made with Chambord, spices, berries and orange juice, or go for a classic margarita, made shaken or stirred and in three sizes: a single glass, a one-litre share glass or a two-litre jug. Drink up!
Start your time at Melbourne’s Tequila Mexican restaurant with chips and dip – think salsa, guacamole, chili con carne or frijoles refritos, a tasty black bean dip – or head straight for the mains. You’ll have much to choose from, ranging from traditional dishes like chicken mola to modern favourites like pesto zucchini quesadillas or big, baby-sized burritos stuffed with beans, goat, beef, chicken or prawns. Our favourite has to be the restaurant’s chimichangas, served alongside Mexican rice, pineapple pomegranate salsa and chili sauce. Whether it’s for drinks with the gals, a family dinner or a romantic date, booking ahead is a smart route to take when planning to dine at South Yarra’s Tequila Mexican Restaurant.
