Thai Naan has a pretty safe spot among the premier Thai restaurants in Chatswood, having been dishing up deliciously authentic food on Victoria Avenue for almost 20 years. Most recipes and techniques come from owner (along with her husband Peter) Air Nastys, who grew up in northeastern Thailand and maintains a close connection to her culinary heritage. Luckily for those in Sydney, she seems very happy to share this heritage at Thai Naan, where friendly service always comes along with the diverse Thai dishes that taste fresher, sharper and more flavoursome (with no additive aftertaste) than standard Thai eateries. Whether trying one of Air’s authentic traditional Thai meals or a modern ‘chef’s creation’ that often pops up on the menu, it’s guaranteed to satisfy any cravings you have for satisfying Southeast Asian fare. Thai Naan has two large private function rooms, a lounge bar and verandah, so it’s great for events too.
