We had a wonderful family lunch. The food and wine were fantastic and it was really family friendly with space for the children to run around and play. The staff were lovely and friendly too. We will definitely be back!

Pretty average food. The place was not busy but still waited a long time for service. The staff while very lovely people didnt seem to be handling the customers well.

We arrive on a Saturday night, greeted by the female owner. She was not friendly....your table is 4 over there and just pointed...we eventually found our table. She hurried us to order and complained to us about how busy and tired she was...for god sake...it is a restaurant and without customers you dont have a business. The bottle of bubbles came in a bucket with glass and was just plonked on the table...come on, a licenced venue....you should be pouring the bubbles. She hurried us too order. And oh yes, the specials...well the 3 specials were over there on a board (she pointed) come on you could tell us what they were. The other waitresses were pleasant enough, but nothing special. Service speed ok. But when you ask the waitress 'what is the tart of the day' and she replied 'yeh i dont know '...again service people ??? So I said 'uh well can you go find out'...'oh yeh' was her answer. The food...arancini OK, garlic bread cold and dry. The surf and turf (well hello 80s) not big at all and lots of fat and nothing special. The waffles were the highlight of the evening. Then paying the bill...the male owner had seemed quite nice and chatty...we handed over the 'entertainment voucher' and he said 'well that is going to kill me isn't it!!'. Again come on people , if you put your restaurant in the Entertainment Book - it is your choice, no one forces you to do it and customer service???dont complain to the customer. The setting is lovely and it has a lovely outdoor area. Would I go back....don't know. Maybe they were having an off night with service, politeness and food. Not sure I would go back.

Had to go and ask for menus, again for drinks, again for order to be taken, again for water bottles. It wasn't that busy, but the staff weren't on the ball.

Even though we had to wait a while, due to a large table before us, the waitress was very nice and offered us a free drink and apologised. Sometimes these things happen.

The restaurant was quiet which we fully understood being the long weekend so noise levels were below what they would normally be. The drinks we found were a bit dearer than normal but overall was a good experience.

Very disappointed, we went for a late lunch but were disappointed with the food, it was very average, the share platter for 4 which was $50 was very disappointing, was very basic with thick cut ham that looked like luncheon meat, I could have made it for $10. My husband had the chicken parmigiana & it was small & dry, he also had the pork bites which were dry. I ordered fish & chips but they said they’d had trouble with the batter so recommended grilled, the grilled fish had black bits all over like it had been cooked on a dirty grill & the salad had no dressing. Other people in our party ordered calamari for a main, when it came out they said they had run out of calamari so gave them an entree portion which was small even for an entree. The margarita pizza was just cheese & sliced tomatoes. We wanted waffles but the waffle maker was broken. The cellar door was closed so had to go to bar to taste wine but they didn’t know that much about it & my husband wanted to buy the big port bottle they do but had run out of those also. So overall not very happy, don’t think we’ll go back again.

My husband and I went for an early Father's Day lunch with our two teenage sons. We had booked in advanced but we did not need as we were the only people in the whole restaurant which was odd for a Friday at 1 pm. There was an unexpected issue with staffing on the day and we had to wait to be seated and service was pretty slow. A few of the items that we wanted to order we could not have as they were special boards that should not have been up. A couple of beers my husband wanted to order were not on tap so he had to make a third choice. The food was ok although could have been hotter and just average pub food really - nothing special. It was cold and we asked for the barn windows to be closed, no fire was lit and no other heating and on a cold winters day I think a fire is a must. Good music but it was strange being the only people in the place and so lacked atmosphere. Prices were a bit on the expensive side for pub food. Don't think we will be rushing back in a hurry. If there were staffing issues then close the restaurant. The staff that were on were pleasant and friendly.

Poor quality food for the Father's Day Buffet, overpriced. Definitely would not go back although, have heard the pizza is good. I would have been happier with a couple of pizzas instead of the roast.

We arrived for breakfast on Fathers Day, 2 of the 6 breakfast options weren’t available and we weren’t told on arrival. So the only options left were eggs of some sort with bacon...the usual options. There were also no kids options. When our big breakfasts came out , the food just lacked lustre, dry bacon, dry eggs, bread with no butter and vinegary poached egg water, the greens and mushrooms lacked seasoning of any sort. It was just very very average. The staff were pleasant but not overly attentive considering over 3/4 of the place was empty. It’s a shame as I was hoping for something just like home cooked food, nothing eleborate but just as good as I’d make at home. Even the choice of beer was limited with the beer of the month and the other flavoured option unavailable. Very disappointing I’m afraid.

Nice setting but menu not much choice and cost of beer now is expensive compared to city. Garden needs upgrading
