More about the restaurant: The Lobo

The Lobo Sydney CBD is without a doubt, one of the coolest places to eat, drink and be (very) merry in Sydney. Inspired by Julio Lobo, the last Cuban sugar baron, this stylish and charming bar is all about rum, good vibes and moreish small bites inspired by Cuban, Central and South American cuisines. Tucked away on Clarence Street in the CBD, you’ll find this bar and eatery located in a basement where the cocktails are creative, fresh and mostly rum-based. The rum selection is 250-bottle strong and the menu goes perfectly alongside. If all this sounds up your alley, grab your crew and head to The Lobo. It’s a cosy and intimate spot though, so reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment.

Thinking about making a The Lobo booking?

So, let’s delve into the drinks list at The Lobo Sydney then. As we mentioned above, rum is the star of the show at this Sydney CBD cocktail bar and eatery, and you’ll find some of the best concoctions in town here. Inspired by all-things Cuban and Caribbean, you’ll find tipples including the floor is guava made with El Dorado 151 rum, coconut rum, guava, honey cider and lemon; splendour spritz of Bombay gin, Aperol, seasonal citrus saccharum, cardamom and black pepper bitters, Absinthe and sparkling wine; and The Lobo signature old grogram made with Lobo’s spiced rum, fresh lemon, sugar, and Lobo’s famous stout vermouth… topped with flames.

Then, of course there is the food. While we’re all about the drinks at The Lobo, you’d be remiss to not order up some of the excellent snacks while you’re there. We love the cured kingfish ceviche; mojo chicken wings marinated in orange, chilli, oregano and garlic served with smoked chilli mayo; Cuban slaw and empanadas filled with your choice of chilli beef or red bean and fennel. Also, the Da Big Bawse Cuban sandwich filled with pork shoulder, smoked ham, Swiss cheese and dijon mustard is one of the best things ever. Located on Clarence Street in the Sydney CBD, you’ll be wanting to head to The Lobo asap!
