Great service - lovely food and great spot in Freo

It was an absolutely amazing afternoon. A little expensive but worth the experience

almost no taste. garlic bread and garlic prawns were very weak taste. waitress and waiter were nice and their service was good.

Excellent food and service. We enjoyed the potato white pizza, chilli mussels and slow cooked ribs. The mango & raspberry cider was yummy! Will be back to try more food and other flavour cider.

Good microbrewery that serves very good cider and food. We enjoyed all our selections, and the winner was definitely the cider paddle!

Had the seafood platter.. had a very generous amount and all seafood was very fresh... definately would go back for more

Generally, the Monk was very good with an excellent selection of beers. The paella was promoted as suitable for 2 persons but comprised limited seafood 🦞 & was insufficient for 2 persons.

Great dining experience, fantastic food and wonderful service, was a last minute large group booking with a number of children and the staff at the monk went above and beyond to accommodate us. Huge thanks to the manager Mark who sourced a birthday cake at the very last minute, it was greatly appreciated and made the evening all the more special Thanks again 😁

Meals are large but not cheap. Service was good.Music too loud for our age group

Great food, big portions and good atmosphere ( wasn’t to loud), but way too hot and Smokey, we couldn’t see as well as we were all coughing a lot

Exceptional, food was fantastic as was the service. I’m a mad home brewer so the beers and cider that is brewed by the monk is also fantastic. Well done guys.

Steak was medium, not medium-rare as ordered. The fish tacos tasted mainly of mayonnaise and there was no real flavour throughout the whole dish. The prawns were nice but overly salty. The whole meal felt underwhelming and overpriced.

Burger was not as good as it used to be and fell apart easily, chips could be better as well. Wasn't bad just know it can be better.

As usual The Monk did not disappoint! The food is amazing, the beers outdo any boutique ale house around!! What sets this place apart is the staff!! The service, the attention to detail and always so friendly and accommodating!! Never disappointed!!
