The Moody Chef of St Leonards has been an award-winning local favourite since 2004 serving breakfast and lunch in a casual and cool atmosphere. With two restaurants in the area, this one – the original – is located on Atchison Street. You'll find delightful Australian-style cafe food on the menu, from shakshuka or poached eggs with kipfler potato and confit bacon mash in the morning, through to hearty burgers, healthy salads and daily curries and soups later in the day. Of course, being a cafe in Sydney, at The Moody Chef you’ll find plenty that’s vegan and gluten-free, making it something on a St Leonards institution for all the right reasons. Reservations here are are always a good idea on the weekend. The café is also fully licensed and operates as a COVID SAFE business.
