The Moulders Arms has been providing all the good cheer you’d expect from a solid British pub to folks in Birtley, equidistant between Gateshead and Chester-le-Street, for a long time. But whether or not you’re familiar with The Moulders’ fine range of cask ales, beer and wine, not to mention classic British pub food, you can expect a warm welcome seven days a week. Drop in for a great value lunch from Monday through to Saturday, a traditional home-cooked Sunday lunch, or the popular steak night on Fridays and you’ll soon find yourself a regular. Combine great food and drink with a packed schedule of events – quizzes, open mic music and gigs – and The Moulders Arms’ Peareth Terrace address is an all-round destination.
Great food that is always cooked well and served hot and great service that is fast and done by people who clearly care about the products they sell couldn't fault as always. Looking forward to the next time
Lovely meal and friendly staff as usual standards very high. Atmosphere has always been welcoming and friendly. Hope it doesn't change with the pending change of management.
Haven't been in for a few year as been put off by previous meals...however went on Sunday for Sunday lunch and could not fault the meal. Was lovely my son is very picky eatter and ate dinner and pudding. Very impressed and will be returning the staff were very friendly and attentive aswell nothing was a problem.
Arrived early but was no problem, food was great, really nice and good portions, home made chips were fantastic to we will definitely be back
The Moulders was very welcoming and the staff were most accommodating, food good and excellent value, good choice of real ales too. This is a family friendly pub so if you are averse to children in pubs, be aware. Only criticism would be on the quality of lighting in the lounge - eco friendly LED bulbs great but could do with using 'warm white' to create better ambience.
A traditional pub with a friendly atmosphere offering good food. Several real ales are available as well the usual draught drinks. Ample parking and a pleasant beer garden overlooking Birtley.
Friendly welcome, good portions, feels homemade and fresh. Advise to book as it is very popular so that is often a good advert of the quality of food and service.
Meals and pufdings were great as always, the service was also first class and quick we will deffo be back soon and would recommend vititing
Lovely food very pleasant staff service was good made to feel welcome over all a very good experience would go and recommend this place to anyone
Moulders Arms don't use Quandoo any longer so they weren't expecting us when we arrived but they did accommodate us. There was a Christening in the dining area so we were put in the bar , bit squashed but the food was good
