Microbrews, fine wine, good eats and a touch of rustic charm make The Wanderer on Sydney’s Elizabeth Street well worth a visit. Opened by three friends from across the globe, this humble bar, with its brick walls, wooden benches and chalk boards, is a favourite with beer lovers and foodies alike. Located in lovely Surry Hills, just moments away from Central, The Wanderer is perfect for the adventurer inside all of us.
Well known across Sydney for its daily specials and event nights, The Wanderer is the goto spot for craft beers on tap and tasty TexMex and bar eats in Sydney’s Surry Hills. Come in to the pub on Thursday nights for live music, food and drink specials and be sure to stop by on Sunday for pie and pitcher day. Big eaters are encouraged to try the big burger challenge – finish your burger and chips and get your name listed on the wall of fame!
Although the wine selection is huge and the craft beer choices are extensive at The Wandererer on Sydney’s Elizabeth Street, the food menu is where the magic is really at. Perfect next to a pint of beer, the schnitty stack is a favourite among regulars. Including three pieces of chicken schnitzel, fennel slaw, a house salad and homemade chips with chipotle aioli, this arteryclogging dish is perfect for when you want to go all out. Vegetarians are also taken care of at this Surry Hills pub, with options like grilled halloumi tacos and a veggie burrito bowl perfect for those who avoid eating meat.
Good vibe and helpful staff. Great place for an after work drink.
Best Tinder date bar in Sydney, we are going to name our babies after you. Looking forward to having our reception there in a couple of months.
We booked in for a work function and had the best time. Love the atmosphere and ambiance of the bar and not to mention the $12 Espresso Martini's. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for somewhere different to catch up with friends.
