Nighttime at The Watershed sees hordes of the city’s best-looking partiers convening for an incredible drinking and dining experience. Every Friday night it’s Harbour Club beginning at 6pm, where you can let loose and get wild drinking the bar’s happy hour specials as Sydney’s top DJs spin the hottest new tracks. Boathouse Saturdays are another favourite event – dance the night away as DJs play a mix of world-class house and R&B. Bring all your friends for an unforgettable night at this Darling Harbour hotspot.
It’s not just about parties, hot people and drinking at this local favourite – The Watershed also serves some of Darling Harbour’s best international and Australian cuisine. We recommend beginning with snacks like the buffalo wings, Szechuan salt and pepper squid, or seasoned wedges served with sour cream and chili sauce. As for mains, you can’t go wrong with the Classic Watershed Beef Burger which consists of prime Australian beef topped with lettuce, tomato, cheddar, relish, beetroot and bacon served with a side of chips. The seafood is also excellent – try the Sydney rock oysters! Book well in advance for a meal at this beloved restaurant and bar on Harbourside.
This place has great food, really friendly staff and the views not bad either! Awesome on a Sunny day to sit outside, enjoy the sun + live music on Sunday's.
A great place for dinner, great location and a great outlook. Friendly courteous staff and delicious filling meals. Will definitely return on my next visit to Sydney.
Had a table for 5 out on the deck overlooking beautiful Darling Harbour and the Vivid water feature which erupted around 7 pm. (had a nice heater) The meal was superb, staff very helpful and prompt service. a great way to relax before going to a concert at the ICC. very close by. made sure to book as there were a lot of people around at all the various restaurants. Prices were OK as well. Recommend The Watershed to all.
The Watershed is a casual Darling Harbour bar that has a great view and a wide choice of food to select from, all reasonably priced - definitely worth a drop in if you are strolling along. I have been here heaps of times and will be back again, and again, and again......try to drop in during VIVID for an even more enjoyable experience.
Booked a table for my birthday dinner. We ordered and was told half hour wait. No problem all good so we bought drinks the cocktail menu was very limited. Food arrived omg like warm the lot Seafood plate was nicely presented but not hot the pizza a basic margaretta was not very nice and the base was burnt. After dinner we sat there with plates to clear whilst staff moved every table around us to create a dance floor. If that wasn't a hint to leave so we got up and moved to the lounges. I ordered dessert however the chocolate melt pudding I ordered didn't arrive instead out came a strawberry cheese cake and an apology from the waiter that there wasn't chocolate pudding. Not offered a refund not even asked if I wanted another type of dessert they decided what I was having. It wasn't very nice the cheese cake anyway. After that we bought more drinks then was told by staff we had to move because the area was now reserved. I would never go back here again and would strongly not recommend this place. Happy birthday to me!!! Very disappointed
The manager greeted me and made sure my booking was correct and remembered speaking to me on the phone which was great! The atmosphere was very easy going and we were able to have a great birthday dinner with no hassle. The food came out fairly quickly as well. The fireworks in Darling Harbour were a bonus!
Fantastic day at the Watershed for Australia Day - we booked a table for 6 but ended up with 12 people for lunch so just grabbed another table. Cheese and meat platters were yummy, and the pizza's also great. Highly recommend if you are looking for a casual relaxed drink or lunch by the water.
If I could rate it 0, I would. The only good thing about watershed is the location, which is right next to the Harbour and perfect for seeing the fireworks on Saturdays. Apart from that the service was bad and the food was not great and not worth the price. Me and my friends booked the place for 8:30 and requested to sit outside so we can enjoy the fireworks at 9. When we got there it was so busy and there was no one to help us or serve us and we had to find staff to bring us to our table. Once we found a staff, they told us all tables were taken and the waitress asked a group of 3 who was eating to move else where for us to sit. They refused but luckily another table was leaving so we got a table. We sat down and ordered food at the bar as staff don't take orders. So my friends went to order food first. When I went to order 5 mins later they told me the kitchen was closed because it was too busy and they don't take orders anymore. This was at 8;40. It is ridiculous because all my friends have their food but I have nothing to eat. My friends food came 5-7 minutes after they ordered so it was pretty efficient. I did not understand what they meant but the kitchen was too busy... 10 minutes later they said the kitchen was back on.. Everything was just so ridiculous, I would never go back there again and it's a waste of my time.
A lovely lunch with very friendly service. A friend and I shared the chicken wing entrée and the seafood platter for one between us. The seafood was both fresh and well cooked. A little slip up with our meal was fixed quickly with no fuss. Will definitely be going back. What a great view
The location is obviously excellent along with the views. If your just wanting a few drinks then you will not have any problems. If you are wanting to eat then don't expect anything special. The food is well below standard and you would be better getting something to eat in the nearby food courts for 1/3 of the price. We had a party of 10 and 3 members ordered the scotch fillet steak and T-bone and they looked more like 2 minute steaks.
Super tasty food! The view was amazing. We were on the outside balcony and even though it was cold they gave us blankets and heaters. The staff were also very kind and helpful the whole night! Would recommend :)
I requested a booking for 11 people via the special requests section and table was only set up for 10. It was no trouble and the staff added an extra chair straight away. High chairs were not clean and kids were not given their kids pack with meals as indicated on kids free promotion on darling harbour website.
Great food for what we paid but it all came out at very different times, we got entrees after the food which was not very good. Was in a very good location too! Especially to see the vivid show.
Bar staff were not well presented. Cocktail were so sweet and tacky, we couldn't drink them. Should have table service for people dining in. And the reason why I gave you a 3 and not a 1 is because the food was delicious, but weird my tandoori salad come with a whole head of cos lettuce. Our bottle of presecco was great too.
It's a really good place to book a birthday evening Staff and promoters are really nice and energetic So glad I didn't pick anywhere else everyone had a great time there
We sat at the first free table we saw and liked as it wasn't busy, and didn't want to keep my reserved table reserved so that others could use it. It was hard to explain this to the waitress however a lovely night was had.
Great place to catch up with friends. The staff were amazing! The only thing I would suggest is ditching the umbrellas as they slightly block the view of the harbour.
Pretty good. Made a reservation on a non busy night, tables were "seat yourself" and food was nice too. Barista at front accidentally got one order wrong, sent it back and got correct order quickly.
The food and location were great, however our entree's and mains came all out together and when we made mention of it, we were told "we are not a restaurant". We found this odd because the menu clearly sets out entree's and mains.
the happy hour was a great surprise and the kids portions amazing, really too much all in all great meals and atmosphere great would recommend for families
The venue food and prices were great, however, the service, or lack of wasn't too good. Table reserved and deposit paid but not a set of cutlery, salt/pepper or serviette in sight, nor anyone really willing to help us.
Great :) thefoid was wonderful as was the team they looked after the Hen S it was her night. Can't wait to go back there again
Amazing service and delicious well priced meals. Spectacular views of Darling Harbour. I will be back for sure! Can highly recommend the seafood platter for two.
Everything was great. Only issue was there was no table booked for me. But we arrived early enough to get a good spot anyway. Night club wasn't very good though.
Booking secured with no problems Great venue, table and food overlooking beautiful Darling Harbour. Great prices for meals and service overall. Will be back again.
This is a really reall Great restaurant, I would definitely recommend to go there. It has a perfect view on darling Harbour especially by night
A great location and ambience. They lost our food orders twice but quickly fixed when prompted. No better place in Darling Harbour to see everything that's going on.
Great food and atmosphere, deafeningly going back! Had a great birthday dinner and had a good night dancing after at around 9.30 when food had stopped being served.
It was a Very good view of darling harbour and we could see all of vivid water show right from where we were sitting. Very quick service.
a very nice dinner had by my wife and myself great choice of fresh sea food with a great view of the harbour value for money
Good food, ribs and mussels were very good, good prices, great spot right by the water. Drinks reasonably priced also. Great darling harbour water front vibes.
We hadn't the seafood platter. Was huge! Shared between 4 with sides of garlic bread and bread oil and balsamic. Awsome food will be going again!
Very friendly staff and helpful in arranging seating for the whole night. Meals all came out quick and efficiently
Over all the service was friendly and the prices are on par with most pub style venues in Sydney. Good atmosphere later in the evening.
Good food, great view. No waiter service, have to go to bar to order food and drinks.
I had my bux night at the Watershed on Saturday night, and when my fiancé arrived to join me later that night, she was refused entry because in the words of security at the door, she appeared to be heavily intoxicated. My fiancé has a disability,as was explained to security at the time, but still they would not let her enter to join me. In this day and age it is so sad that people with disabilities could possibly be treated this way.
No table service. When sitting at our table someone came up and abruptly asked if we made a booking after we were sitting for 10 mins. Rude staff. Very bland food. Do not recommend and will not return.
Very unorganised, staff very unfriendly. Food/drinks basically thrown on the table as if we were animals! Never will I ever eat or drink there! I understand it's vivid but a little customer services and organisation goes a long way!
