Vietnamese food always comes high up on a list of favourites for the foodies of Melbourne, with countless noodle shops, seafood specialists and pho-nominal restaurants spread all over the Victoria capital. For those out in Footscray, Thein An is the destination of choice for Saigon specialities. They’ve been in business since 1995 – no small feat in the cutthroat world of the Melbourne restaurant scene – and they’ve built their reputation on the authenticity of their food, the friendly nature of their staff and their superb location. Take a trip out to Irving Street, just 30m from Footscray Station, for a meal that can take you from the streets of Melbourne to the bustling waterways of the Mekong delta – just remember to book your table in advance, as they can get crowded.

I couldn't tell you because I booked via their website and received a confirmation but upon arrival found their restaurant to be closed. Also found it quite lax that I had called consistently throughout the week to have no one ever pick up the phone. Not a very good way to run a business if you are going to purport to put out online communication methods you're better off having nothing at all, at least it is better to not have any expectations.
Beautiful food and lovely staff. Thank you for a lunch with friends, will be coming back.
it was really good tasty food and good portion size
