Third Wave Coffee Burgers BBQ

Delicious American BBQ that's very generously portioned, but the craft beer range could be improved to include some of the marvellous product of Melbourne's awesome brewers.

Great food and great service. Would love to see sweet and spicy fried cauliflower on the menu with a blue cheese dipping sauce. Just saying !!!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, and the waitstaffs were friendly and helpful. We ordered their August specials, the smokin' mountain and the cheese sticks. We especially loved the onion rings, beef ribs, and waffle chips, however the pork ribs were a little dry and the candied bacon that wrapped around the pickles was almost inedible because it was too hard to chew. We took away a naked cheeseburger for our friend who couldn't join us for dinner and he loved it! So overall, we would probably return for their brunch menu or even to try out their burgers :)

A. May. Zing. Great food. Great value. People were so friendly. I was scared because some reviews said the staff were rude, but I saw someone seated impatiently outside, and then stepped in clicking his fingers at the cute waiter going “um where’s our menus??” Like... they were right there he could have just taken 2 by himself. I don’t know. Maybe the customers that left those reviews are impaired in some way because the waiters/waitresses that helped my posse were very very friendly. One thing I’ll comment on is that I ordered eggs Benedict, and one of my friends ordered scrambled eggs. His eggs came but mine never did, but we were charged for my eggs Bene?? Odd. Genuine mistake, totally fine. I was so stuffed honestly I was scared they were still making mine. 1000% I will come again. We ordered the August special “mountain” or something. The one where they have 3 ribs, bunch of bacon, some Mac n cheese, and some waffle chips (they were damn good). And a couple coffees/milkshakes, and the scrambled eggs. Came to ~$75. Very good value, for all that meat. Oh and the presentation. My goodness. Phenomenal. It was crowded but honestly that’s just a testament to how good they are. Looks filthy on the outside but that’s just the classic Port Melbourne facade.

They have the best ribs. We had the smokin mountain and it was delicious! And very cheap too considering the portion size. Service is good as well

I absolutely love this place. Food is always amazing and the service is fast and very friendly. Also the ambiance of the place is great, not too much noise so you can hear yourself speak when you are dining with friends.

I visited Third Wave for one of the July monthly specials - the New York BBQ Stack. As always, the food was amazing, the service excellent and the staff friendly!

The food and the service is amazing. The meat is to die for it’s so tender and the portions are massive. Definitely coming back here soon.

The beef ribs, onion rings and mushrooms were my favourites, but everything was yummy and the service was fantastic! we will all definately go again

Great food and service! All of the meats were delicious and cooked to perfection! The all-you-can-eat American BBQ was a nice experience but slightly overpriced at $69.00 per-person. It was also disappointing to see leftover food being thrown away instead of letting customers take it home.

Food was outstanding, wait staff very friendly, and very quick service. The size of the meals were extremely value for money. Will be going back again for sure.

Food was great, our food was served in around 15-20 minutes but failed on customer service. Our booking was 6:15pm. We arrived on time and the moment we sat down one of the staff told us that we need to leave by 8pm, as there was a booking. Which was kinda disappointing and not good for first time customers. If my son was not that hungry, we would've left right there and then. Will have second thoughts in dining there again. Btw, we finished our dinner and left at 7:35pm.

Our table was ready when we arrived. Food arrived promptly too. Staff attentive despite there were only two waiters. I just don't think that the food lived up to how they're described in their menus. The iced tea was meh. I didn't think the smoky mac n cheese had a smokey aroma nor the kipfler potatoes that crispy or the chicken flavourful. They were just ok. However the burger was good, coleslaw and pork ribs too. So all in all, you need to know what to order. We were disappointed though that the cheese bomb burger was sold out!

As always, the food here is totally delicious and I ate way too much.

The food was amazing and would go back again. They even let us take what we didn't eat home so I am looking forward to my lunch today

Really impressed, great BBQ menu, thick shakes, and burgers in an intimate setting. Very innovative menu too with rotating specials. The wait staff were very accommodating.

Great experience, the food was amazing. We were a party of 8 and everything went beyond expectations. We will definitely come back again. The « amazing » beer was indeed amazing.

The food was super yum. Got the dinosaur ribs. The meat was tender and fatty and flavourful! Ended with the Nutella and peanut butter pie which was so rich and decadent.

So much food - I have a stomach ache just thinking about it! My eyes were way bigger than my stomach. Authentic American BBQ and rich flavours that will satisfy meat lovers most. If you go on a Tuesday and try the degustation menu here is my tip - fast in the lead up and know when to stop eating!

Fantastic food. Had the all you can eat deal on a Tuesday night. The beef ribs were huge. Quesadillas for entree were delicious. Will go back again

Amazing American BBQ. If you go on a Tuesday then you can go for an all you can eat option. Great range. Only one point of feedback - get an IPA on the menu.

Small venue but great food and service. Highly recommend the brisket loaded fries and make sure you book - likely to end up outside if not which can be a little chilly in winter

The food and service were both great. Because of the entrees you tend to get full at an all you can eat but that’s not a bad thing... will definitely be back!!

Good service nice people Average meat. The brisket felt like it was slow cooked in the oven You couldn’t feel the smoky taste. The short ribs where the same. Pretty disappointed I was there 6 months ago and it was much better.

Good foods do value for money but really poor customer service. Which was disappointing as it has been fantastic the other times we have visited.

Great food and atmosphere, great meat and American food, the Key Lime Pie and Pecan Pie were real winners. I would recommend for all you can do as early as possible, more time and leisure to eat. Also to really get a bang for your buck be prepared to eat a lot properly.

Food was amazing! Absolutely delicious. But service seemed a bit scattered. Took a while to be seated and our mains came out before our starters (a good thing in hindsight, we ordered too much haha)

It was an absolute delight being able to bring my group of friends here. I am a regular visitor to Third Wave and it has never disappointed. Food was divine and we all ordered a variety of dishes including the monthly dish, dinosaur ribs and burgers. We did have young children with us and probably needed another high chair but with a small venue it is understandable they only had one.

Great atmosphere and delicious cocktails. But the portion sizes were very small not at all what i was expecting for american BBQ and the Brisket was flavourless and did not appear to be the right cut of beef.
