Tomodachi - Izakaya & Bar

Food was lovely and staff were friendly, the only thing is it's not byo. For such a " basic " restaurant, byo should be allowed

The food was amazing, however the service was average and very noisy. We had a larger group, a place for a more intimate group. Will try again

Awesome food and lovely service. The sashimi was fresh and the prices very reasonable. The only negative was it was so busy in such a small space.

Tomodachi - Izajata and Bar had great food, wine and very friendly service. We are looking forward to going back to eat there again soon!

Must have caught them on an off day because i've heard nothing but great things about the place. Service was average with no drink refills offered - our empty drinks sat on the table for the remainder of our meal. But empty plates were cleared quickly. Pork belly was chewy and dry and not as moist and delicious as it could have been. The flavours in everything were good though standouts were the yakitori, karage chicken and scallops. Overall though I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. But I might give it the benefit of the doubt and head back another time.

Food was delicious, service was terrific and the cocktails were even better (or more deadly, depends on how you look at it!) Lots of gluten free and vego options too... winner for everyone!

Friendly, authentic, delicious, cozy, fun. We had a great time and lots of yummy food and sake. Definitely heading back soon. Try the Renkon chips!

The food is fantastic and the staff are so welcoming we had dinner and returned for lunch the next day to try more on the menu and we're very impressed. Looking forward to dining back there again:)

One of Geelong's hidden gems. Funky décor in the heart of Little Malop St. Great service and food to go back for again and again. Lotus root chips are our kids favourite !

Yummy food, great service with explanation of dishes and groovy venue at a very reasonable price - what's not to like! We will definitely be back.

Fantastic food, beautifully presented and a wonderful atmosphere. Prices were reasonable for what we were getting. The seating is a little cramped but we made do.

Great Izakaya. Small share plates or mains with Japanese beers on tap and good range of sake. Small restaurant with a great vibe and good service.

lovely little spot - will definitely be back. The Tapas section ha some sensational items - really liked the chips and the eggplant caramelised miso.

Always fantastic. The lotus root chips and the octopus balls are our winning choices. Perfect vibe for an intimate dinner with friends. Would highly recommend!

Venue is quite cosy, so be sure to make a booking. Staff are very friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. I had gyozas for entree, the softshell crab for my main and shared a matcha ice-cream for dessert. I also had a cocktail (which are a must try!). Altogether it cost me $45, not bad at all! As i was leaving i was already trying to plan when to go back!

Tomodachi -Izakaya & Bar is a great place to try - the delicious food and friendly staff would please even the most discerning diner. There is also an extensive range of sake to complement the authentic food

It is a great venue. Fabulous, efficient and friendly service. the food was delicious but some items cold. Sashimi was tasty but way too thick. I would definitely go back and be a bit more selective about what I ordered.

We had a great first experience at Tomodachi last night. The staff was very helpful, the food was absolutely delicious (make sure you try the black sesame ice cream!) and the place is nice and cosy.

Absolutely fantastic as always. Wait staff so understanding and thoughtful even though it was fully booked. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Yum yum.

It was good. Food was good for lunch with decent prices. Their Kaarage Chicken is incredibly amazing! Though limited drinks menu. Great Service. No desserts on offer at lunch either.

Food is amazing. Extremely authentic. Reminds me of being back in a Izakaya in Tokyo. They also have a great selection of Sake. You will love it
