My Indian family and friends wanted to organise a birthday party 🥳🎉 for me a month ago. They asked me what place I would recommend as some have special vegan diets. So I recommended as I wanted them to try something outside of Western Sydney . And we went 2 nights ago to: ✅✅✅🍽️ URBAN SPICES Curries and Cocktails BALMAIN 📍in Sydney. This famous and fabulous place has over 500 reviews with an average google reviews rating 4.9 stars / 5. ⭐ ✨ They are famous for their amazing Indian dishes, cocktails 🍷 🍸 🥂 and curries. This place has amazing artwork, architecture and paintings. The service is above and beyond when we mentioned we have a party of 8 people including a 3 year old toddler they gave us the whole upstairs . Fantastic views and fantastic yummy 🤤 😋 food: We had 🍽️✅✅Pani Puri x 2 serves (6pcs) 🟡 🍽️✅✅✅Dahi Batata Puri (6pcs) 🟡 🍽️✅✅Mix Veg Hara Bhara Kabab (5pcs) 🍽️✅ Mix Veg Shorba Soup 🍲 🍽️✅✅✅ Special Palak Paneer with ginger, onion 🧅, garlic 🧄 🍽️✅✅✅ Paneer Lawabdar ✅✅🍽️ Butter chicken 🍛 🍗 with special gravy sauce 🤤 🍽️✅✅✅Malai Kofta 🍽️✅✅✅ Mix Veg Jhalfrezi 🍽️✅✅✅ Garlic Naan 🫓 🍛 and Butter Naan 🫓 🍸🍷🥂⭐✨ COCKTAILS 🍹🍹 Kel Hart this place makes the best cocktails I've ever tasted... 🍸🍷Indian Hawaii cocktails 🍹= Blue Curacao, Pineapple 🍍 juice, orange 🍊 juice, vanilla syrup and lime 🍋‍🟩 juice (my second time here and I always 💕 love all their cocktails!! 🤩) 🍹🍹Yuzu Garden mocktails 🍷 Pineapple 🍍, Apple🍎 🍏, Yuzu, lime 🍋‍🟩 As we discussed, this is for special occasions it's very rare that we get the whole family together especially when there are some visiting from India. A great night was enjoyed by all 8 of us including my 3 year old goddaughter. I also recommend this place to all my other Indian work colleagues and friends. The staff are so polite and accommodating helping with family photos My Indian family loved the high quality dishes - some of the dishes they don't normally cook or make at home 😊👌 Can't wait for the next excuse to come back here again 😆 😂

The service was prompt and efficient. The food was good and tasty. Serves were quite small but adequate. Price was high but not unreasonable. Mineral water was overpriced for home made on.premises.

Delicious food and the staff are so helpful and friendly.

We are so pleased that Urban Spices has come to Balmain. The food and service are excellent and the ambience charming. We have been several times and although we like our curries very hot, on different occasions some of our dining companions could only tolerate mildly spiced food. No problem at Urban Spices! Delicately spiced or fiery, our food was always tender, delicious and well presented. We will be back!
