So, we already mentioned about that Urchin Bar Hampton is inspired by Greek, Middle Eastern, Turkish and Mediterranean cuisines, but what dishes can you expect from the menus at this charming Melbourne favourite? If you’re in for breakfast, we love the Hellenic breakfast of eggs, bacon, tomato, sausage, feta and olives; Ispania omelette filled with chorizo, red onion and roast capsicum and the hash brown stack topped with salmon, asparagus, poached eggs and hollandaise. Washed down with your coffee or choice, juice or perhaps a Greek coffee served with Turkish delight. Delicious!
For lunch, Urchin Bar Melbourne is all about focaccias filled with all manner of delicious bits – we love the Tasmanians smoked salmon one – fresh salads, fish and chips and skewers served with fries and salad. For dinner, we recommend starting with some meze dishes to share such as the Greek chilli prawns; scallops with lemon and the meze platter loaded up with a whole host of delicious dishes. For the main event, you’ll then find succulent rib-eye steak cooked to perfection; seafood and meat platters; slow-braised Moroccan chicken and the classic moussaka. Popular for very good reason, we highly recommend a visit to Urchin Bar on Hampton Street in Hampton for a Mediterranean feast to remember. Book now!
