Really good service . They were welcoming and helpful and gave us a selection of sakes to try because we didn't know which one to get. The food was a high standard and they have some interesting variations on Japanese food. Casual atmosphere was good too.

One of the best Japanese restaurants we've ever been to. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and despite a busy Saturday night the staff seemed to always be on hand when wanted. Definitely a keeper.

This is a fabulous Japanese restaurant in St Kilda. Quiet part of Wellington Street, easy parking which is rare and the food is outstanding. I licensed restaurant so not inexpensive but worth the bill. Would definitely recommend. Not typical Japanese. Super tasty.

Excellent lunch at Wabi Sabi, attentive staff, hot sake on a cold day. What more could you ask for? Will be returning again for dinner

The Food outstanding, and service outstanding.loved the overall night .the only small thing to mention was continue opening and slamming of the door for people to use rest room .our table was right in the middle of it . So a little annoying. But looking forward to coming back .A

Modern Japanese in a cool environment. Good service, fresh ingredients, about average prices for Japanese. We'll definitely be back. There's lots more on the menu we want to try.

great tasty and pedantic food... Good service... a bit expensive with sashimi dishes as they are served in small portions yet they taste so good that you want more... a few more slices of raw fish would be more satisfying... I love sashimi and I can eat it a lot...

Awesome japanese fusion! Great tentative service.. Could go back for the black cod everyday which is my favourite food of all time! The only thing i could say is the black cod has bones in it - easily picked tho..

The restaurant has a nice ambience with attentive staff but was unfortunately badly let down by the food. The soft shell crab tempura was not crisp and tasted fishy and the wagyu beef wraps had a nice flavour but the meat was dry. The pan seared rare scallops and kingfish sashimi were fine but were very small dishes for sharing, especially for the price. Overall very disappointing.

Excellent food, friendly staff, just love it :) I have and will definitely continue recommending Wabi Sabi Garden to my friends and relatives. The only thing that can be improved is the lighting, but I reckon it's the owner's preferred restaurant layout.

We all thought the food was excellent however one of the waitresses was a bit confused as to who order what. $193 for a party of 6 (no alcohol) was good value.

Food is decent but very overpriced. The place is not very clean also, table and chairs sticky. Japanese beer sold with extreme markup even greater that Izakaya(s) in the city.

The food was delicious! Traditional, elegant and minimalistic dishes which were satisfying for the senses and the belly! We were a group of roughly 10 people and the service was good.

Clean, fresh, Japanese hybrid. Good service in mildly funky surroundings. Good Japanese food is rarely cheap, and this certainly isn't. But, if you can be sensible about your alcohol choices, it's definitely worth a look. You'll be paying $20 - $30 for your mains and they're not huge - but they are delicious and a little different. We'll be back.

The restaurant has a good feel about it, very chilled and nice decor. The food was nice, but expensive. Definitely worth going once, wouldn't go again.
