About Yavanna
More about the restaurant: Yavanna
Yavanna Paddington is probably the most exciting plant-based eatery in Brisbane. Born from the desire of its three owners to be an all-inclusive venue serving dishes you can’t usually get vegan, well, vegan. Picture steaks smothered in gravy, burgers with all the trimmings, schnitzels, poutine, bacon and egg toasties and everything your heart could possibly want. This talented team want it to be a place that vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters come together to indulge in tasty, good-quality food, without any pretence. Doubling as a buzzing cafe slinging coffee by Moonshine Roasters from Byron by day, and a trendy restaurant and bar offering natural wine and Tolkien-inspired cocktails by night, we are big fans of this entirely vegan Paddington space on Latrobe Terrace. Reservations at Yavanna are essential.

Located on the corner of Given and Latrobe Terraces, Yavanna is stylish, trendy and cool as a damn cucumber. Featuring coral coloured walls with a white line painting of a woman with the head of a plant and a charming outdoor terrace, this is the ideal spot to head for weekend brunch or dinner and cocktails. Speaking of brunch, the vegan menu at Yavanna Brisbane looks like the breakfast toastie filled with bacon, egg, cheese, mushrooms and spinach on Turkish bread; brekkie burrito with all the trimmings and a good amount of chipotle mayo or the bacon and egg mockmuffin. Alongside coffee from the crew at Moonshine. Yes, please.
If you’re in for lunch or dinner, be sure to arrive hungry because you will definitely want to eat all of the things at Yavanna Paddington. Lunch is all about chicken and steak sambos; burgers; chipotle nachos and calamari salad. Meanwhile, dinner should begin with the poutine smothered in cheese sauce and gravy; deep-fried brussel sprouts and salt and pepper calamari. Then, we love the pesto pasta topped with chilli; chargrilled steak served with creamy mash; gravy and greens and the badass burrito filled with chipotle beans, mushrooms and lashings of guacamole. Washed down with natural wine or a cocktail or two and you’ve got yourself one of the best vegan experiences in Brisbane. Book a table at Yavanna now!
