Took our two daughters for their first time at Hachi Kichi (one of our favourite local Japanese restaurants) and they couldn’t have been more pleased, the food was excellent, the service was friendly and quick and it was great value for money. Highly recommend this place for all Japanese cuisine on Bay Street Brighton. Definitely coming back again soon! (So are our daughters)!!

Staff are so helpful and friendly. Even though the restaurant was busy we needed to be served quickly to get to a film and our request was accommodated. Yummy Japanese food always served with a smile!

Probably our favourite restaurant, and we go out of our way to eat there! (It's about a 40min drive) Consistently great food and lovely staff. Small inside but has alfresco outside which is fine in the warmer weather. The food is beautifully presented and always delicious. Reluctant to give such well deserved high rating because I don't want it to get too popular in case I can never get a table!

Small, intimate and friendly. Food was great. Amazing how they produce such lovely dishes from such a tiny kitchen. They forgot one of my dishes, but after a prompt it turned-up a fair bit little bit later than the others. I’Ld definitely go back again!

We dined here for a quick dinner. It was quiet but we found that really nice compared to the busyness of Brighton outside. The food was superb. Service was very attentive and it was nice to have time to talk without interruption.

First time visit. Very impressed with quality of food and table service. Would gladly recommend and come back again. Smart casual, or even for more formal occasions.
