Alkimos Tapas Resturant

We had an okay dining experience but not sure if we'll be back. Arancini balls would have been delicious if hot (served lukewarm). Beef slider parties were not fresh and juicy so not enjoyable at all tasted like sausage meat. Lamb skewers were the best of our 3 dishes.

Satisfying first visit although was displeased to find tap beers advertised on both the drinks menu and on the chalkboard behind the bar only to be told by the waitress that “there are no tap beers” very, very false advertising and should have been signposted that these were unavailable.

Very happy with my visit there tonight I have had good and bad reviews before going but thought I would try it for myself most bad reviews are from when it first opened but it is much better lady who runs it is lovely ..food was gorgeous had the seafood platter :) bit cold in there at first with doors being wide open but was fine after closed the door .. no long waits for food and drink also .. very happy thankyou :)

There was everything that you would expect on a Tapas menu and nothing that I wouldn't have ordered, as well as pizzas / steaks / burgers and a small but well chosen list of wines and tap beers. There was also a selection of four sharing platters and a children's section on the menu. The venue was clean and well presented and I liked being able to see into the kitchen. Staff were polite and attentive. Seemed very reasonable at $79 for Patatas Bravas, king prawns in a creamy sauce, lamb skewers, whiskey-infused maple syrup pork belly, one glass of Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and one glass of tap beer. This was plenty of food for my wife and I. I would have expected to pay about $100 based on the quality and quantity that we received. There was plenty of parking (we parked right outside, and there is also a substantial car park adjacent to the restaurant), and I think al fresco dining although there was a big storm on our visit and everyone was sat inside. I would return to this restaurant.

The staff were really lovely. The food was ok. The lamb skewers were really tough and the burger patties were dry and bland. The arancini, calamari and garlic prawns were good. It was our first visit, would return again for a second chance.

Friendly and helpful and food was great. We had 3 shared platters and there was plenty to eat. Beautifully cooked and presented. We will return.

Visited this restaurant last night with a friend and we were a bit apprehensive when we walked in as it was empty but we were took upstairs where there were other diners. The food was lovely, we shared a platter, the atmosphere good and very friendly staff, will definitely come back.

Great food good service cold beer And great atmosphere with live music not overly loud just the right volume so you can enjoy the music and still hold a conversation The mixed grill share plate was very good with ribs buffalo wings kebabs and olives very tasty will definitely be returning

Atmosphere was good, staff were attentive & food was good and priced accordingly to portion sizes..On a plus they had a live band but it was a tad loud while your trying to talk over a meal.. We will definitely be back.!.=)
