You’d be forgiven for thinking that Bert & Roy’s was some magician duo, given that the tricks they work in the kitchen turn out some of Bondi’s best Thai and fusion food, spread over breakfast, lunch and dinner. How is it possible to juggle traditional western breakfasts, coffee of the kind that Sydney’s bean snobs won’t turn their noses up at, and Thai food given an international twist? The day starts very early for the eponymous heroes of Bondi Thai fusion cafe and restaurant Bert & Roy’s, with their breakfast menu, famous in this part of Sydney, available from 7am until 3pm.
