Located on Oxford Street in Darlinghurst – right in the thick of it all – you’ll be in for a memorable night, to say the very least. We recommend starting things at Big Poppa’s off where all the best evenings start… the drinks list. Some of our favourites include the Childish Mandarino made with Bombay dry gin, green chartreuse, balter xpa, mandarin and lemon; Peadiddy of Bacardi oro, snap peas, lemon and whites or the Rye’d or Die mixed with Wild Turkey rye, applejack, grape, orgeat, lemon and orange bitters. Now, what’s the deal with the food at Big Poppa’s Darlinghurst you ask? Well, before we get into it, just make sure you bring your heftiest appetite. We recommend you start with the Italian salumi platter brimming with Wagyu bresaola, capocollo, spores, pickled green tomatoes and artichokes and the fresh buffalo mozzarella topped with basil, nduja and piquillo peppers. Then, don’t miss the cacio e pepe spaghetti made with pepper, pecorino and parmigiano; hand-cut pappardelle with lamb shoulder ragu or the tagliata flank steak with garlic, rosemary and lemon.
