It was okay and the service was average. Our entrees came out at the same time as our mains, which meant they were cold by the time we got to it. The deserts also tasted quite old. The fish special was very good though.

We are always happy with the food and service at Cafe Republic. It is one of our favourite restaurants in South Yarra.

The staff were attentive. The food was nice, especially the calamari which was recommended to us.

Depending on the time and how many diners there are, it can get a tad loud, but the vibe is upbeat so it's all good. Staff were really accommodating with the size of our group and gave us a giant table out the back. They also brought ALL THE CAKES on big platters so we could cut them up and share to taste everything. Fabulous!

Food was great. Coffee was standard, had latte because there was no filtered coffee. Overall it was ok

We regularly go to Cafe Republic and we are always pleased with the service and the food. My steak was cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed his seafood pasta dish.

We have gone to Cafe Republic on several occasions and we are happy with the food and service. I ordered a salmon dish and it was cooked perfectly; it was delicious and hearty. We will return to this great restaurant again.

Overall good place. Happy hour is a really good deal; however, service can be a bit sloppy at times. For instance, they seem to have constant new staff on board who wouldn't be familiarised with deals. Coffee and food are average.

Staff were amazing, welcomed my 10 year old daughter and her friends for lunch to celebrate this milestone birthday. Most hospitable and attentive, made a nice fuss of her and looked after us seamlessly. Thank you

Great cafe, cozy environment, good food and friendly staff. I love the everyday happy hour and the cocktail of the week. Drinks are fairly price and cocktails are pretty good. Highly recommended.

Really nice breakfast, loved the pumpkin smash, nice big open dining room. The food servings are generous, neither me or my partner were able to finish our meal!

There restaurant had a great vibe - the host was fabulous, and the food was lovely. We stayed for a long time and did not feel pressured to leave.

Table service is attentive. They let us have the lunch menu early which was great. Ordered the tasting platter and bruschetta. It was lovely but the bruschetta was unusual with pumpkin. It probably wasn’t the nicest one we have eaten but it was ok. Absolutely fab caramel banana dessert.

The staff are too keen to get the order at the start when we were just settling in. Food however, was amazing and ambience top notch.

The restaurant had an entirely different menu listed on their website. The staff knew nothing about it and said it must be outdated as they had seen it and had worked their for 8 months etc. was very frustrating as one of the reasons we chose to go their was after looking at their menu and absolutely none of what we wanted was available.

Fabulous choice of fare and delicious, generous sized serves. Our friends loved it and we appreciated our waiter's dry sense of humour in deciphering my husband's rather pesky food peeves and fetishes!! Not the first time we've been to Café Republic and we'll be back again.

Salad Nicoise contained real salmon pieces, cooked nicely with a crispy skin, salad ingredients and chat potatoes. A delicious meal. Service quite good. Restaurant is always busy and quite noisy.

A very good Happy Hour and great staff. The food is also delicious and provides a great venue to go to following a hard day at work.

Our entrée arrived with our main course so we had to quickly eat the oysters the main course was stone cold and when i complained was given a shrug. We ate it as we were hungry but i will never go back or recommend

This is the third time that I have visited cafe republic with my family. On each occasion the food, service and hospitality has been excellent. I will definitely return and I would also highly recommend to anyone else who is wishing for an enjoyable dining experience.

Laid back environment with friendly outgoing staff. The food was really good! Cool music in the background that puts you in a good mood, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We thought food and staff just great on all levels. However the noise in the restaurant was nearly unbearable. Sorry, but it was not good.

Good food and coffee. Must say though it was a bit noisy as there were workmen inside installing some wall fixtures using a hammer drill, think they could have done so at a less busy time than a Saturday morning.

Cafe Republic has consistently good coffee and service. The staff are always very friendly and efficient. I have been to the cafe for many different occasions, and never been disappointed.

Great food and ambience for a great experience. Staff were fantastic! Interstate guests really loved the suggestion of the restaurant and great location without being in an overcrowded area of South Yarra.
