Smack bang in the CBD on Knuckey Street, you couldn’t ask for Darwin’s best sushi to be easier to find. Chakoro Sushi pump out dozens and dozens of delicious Japanese dishes, from teriyaki chicken rolls to full-blown seafood platters. As the name suggests, though, sushi is the main attraction, and with good reason. In particular, the salmon sushi (and raw sashimi) is outstanding, using high quality Tasmanian salmon flown in fresh. Whether you’re looking for a quick but tasty solo lunch spot in Darwin’s CBD, or hunting out a venue for a group meal or special occasion family dinner, Chakoro Sushi definitely fits the bill. Just bear in mind that the secret is out on their salmon and it can get extremely busy – particularly around lunchtime – so it’s wise to reserve a table before you go.
