FRITES- Quarry Bay

One of our favourite places to dine with our kids. Consistent quality, good variety, well priced.

It would be better if we did not share the table with another couple as this meant that everyone was closely packed together. The meals didn’t all arrive at the same time with the majority of the table (3 out of 4 guests) having to wait 30 minutes or more for their meals.

I eat schnitzel here 2-3 times per month. This was the first time it was seriously bad (soggy fries and crust). Must have been just sitting in the kitchen for a long time. Unfortunately not possible to give a higher rating for today’s visit

Good food good service but a bit noisy, nice atmoaphere and experience!!!!

Good environment. Service is good and food is yummy - money worth.

Very good food and friendly staff. But it took at least 20 minutes for my guest and I to get the first course, for a set meal. The main course came at least 10 minutes after the first course was finished, after prompting the staff for the 3rd time. One of us received the wrong coffee order, which was never replaced.

A bit pricey, the average spend was HKD500 per head

Very good food. Yummy fries, bread is good and fresh mussel. It would be great if dessert and drink could all be served instead of either one. More choice of dessert will be appreciated

Visited many times, still felt very good of the services and taste of food. A bit disappointed that many Belgium bottle beers on their menu were no stock and their signature mussels were with very small meats despite normal size of shells.

I enjoy my dining experience. Especially, I loved the ale sample plate and unlimited Monday Mussels flow. I would definitely recommend Frites to my friends.

I like Mussel & Roast Chicken the most. The mussel is fresh and large in size. The chicken is well seasoning and the chicken skin was thin and crispy. The house wife Sausage with mashed potato were delicious too. Excellent cooking! And Beer, of course!

Food quality is consistently good as i have been to other branches of this chain. good happy hour deal. one thing i'd avoid is going in peak hours since they may ask you to share tables with other guests.

Excellent services, very good food and many choice of lovely beer. Love to go there again and again. Reasonable price and nice environment. Really enjoy their Belgium beers, can't get the same else where.

Clean restaurant. good choice of beverages. nice to see explanations of the differences between each type of Belgium beer. Good menu ( with a readable font) with variety,.....but food appetizers and mains was a bit pricey...even the daily special.....Could not eat here weekly. Portions were extremely large. I enjoyed both the peach beer and the apple beers. I had the onion soup which was excellent portion wise and taste wise. I then had the pork schnitzel which was tasty but far too large. Even for me, and I can eat a lot, it was far too large a piece of pork for anyone to finish. My colleague who is also a male and a big eater, remarked that the schnitzel was far too large also. Frites were excellent and good portion. Good prompt service that was attentive as well.

Great food and service as always. Steak frites was delicious and filling and the frites, as expected, were so flavorful and crunchy. Definitely will be back and soon.

It is a good place for friend gathering. Food and environment are good, and price is also reasonable. Happy Hours is also good as well.

We enjoyed great food with relaxing dining environment at FRITES. I recommend Mussel Pots, Rosemary Roast Chicken, Tuna Quinoise Salad and Tiger Pawn and Smoked Salmon Risotto. All are tasty.

Excellent food with huge portions. Pleasant and attentive staff. Particularly good were the Chicken Parm, Pork Knuckle, and Plum Pie. Will be back for sure!

Not many people on that day, so we can have a table quickly. Service is good. Food is good, too, e.g. curried chicken is nice.

We went on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch, the atmosphere was really chill and it wasn't too packed. Reasonable price for the quality and the amount of food we had. Good spot for company lunch!

As usual the mussels were fantastic. Ambience and service was great, attentive and efficient. Quarry Bay is probably the best of the current Frites locations.

Liked the food there, especially the beers. Liked the quick-witted, humourous manager. Reasonable price. Not happy about mussels: more than ten mussels in 1kg. Disappointed by the empty soap dispenser in the washroom.

Good quality food and portions are good when you're hungry. Reasonable prices for what you get, but are a bit high for an everyday lunch. Easy going environment. Service is a little strange - hard to explain, but not a major negative.

My six year old son was out of school, so I took him to Quarry Bay park and then Frites for lunch. It was the perfect play date! The park has a huge playground. Followed by Frites lovely kids menu. He had the mini burgers with 'frites'. I had the cauliflower soup (which my son ate), the Egglplant parm, followed by the key lime pie (also devoured by my son). We're big fans. They also set up a nice play area for kids on the weekends.

Great food, big portion, the chip was very delicious and nice place for gathering arrangement, will come back for sure. Will recommend this place to others.

Waiters are quick to customers' needs and orders, making sure that the table is cleaned up for more orders to come once any plates are finished. Splendid environment for chatting.

Promotion on selected drinks for the celebration of 10th anniversary! Fresh and yummy mussels is a must, the large portion of the main courses is good for gathering! Shortage of manpower to serve.

Excellent beers with many choices, good food quality and friendly services. Very good atmosphere. Their speciality is Belgium beers, Belgium beers are very nice and with great history!
