Golden Dragon Yumcha

Can't fault our visit to the Golden Dragon. The food was excellent, and plenty of it (we had the banquet B). Service was good. Will definitely go back again.

Great and friendly service. Excellent and quality food. I like it when all the food are served hot. Food are really nice and big portion.

Staff was great, very fast service. Beautiful setting. Food was okay, a bit over priced banquet. No silverware offered, chopsticks available. The menu is quite extensive.

The staff were very welcoming, generous with their time and answering questions about the menu. The barramuda with ginger and shallots was cooked to perfection.

Another wonderful meal at the Golden Dragon. The food is amazing, the staff friendly and helpful. Made me feel special on my Birthday. Definitely recommend!

The food was surprisingly good, but the experience was sadly let down by - a waiter forgetting to place our order with the kitchen, no Rose available (& not noted on the wine list), no sparkling mineral water available, & more importantly : the place was generally dirty & in poor condition (plaster missing from ceiling, water run marks down the walls, token christmas decorations in poor condition & torn, dirty carpet, dirty dishes left on vacated tables, etc)

Best dumplings going around! Consistently good service, delicious and good value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Golden Dragon Yum Chat to any one. See you next time!

great service and food, best time to arrive was around 12 when the carts are full and always available. Friendly staff, tasty food, recommend it

This place is great. Always has great food and great service. I would highly recommend trying the yum cha avaliable on a saturday at lunch time.

Food was very good, staff member were helpful and eager to explain or bring more tea. We were welcome with big smile. The only downside was that bathroom was dirty and unpleasant....

Friendly staff, fast choices of delicious yum cha food with lots of variety. Even though the place was very busy due to Mothers Day nothing was too much trouble and price was very reasonable. We will go there again.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in by a very friendly waitress. As soon as we sat down, we were offered drinks, then the trolley came around. Very quick friendly service and yummy food.

went for yum cha on a sunday morning. Place was not very busy at 11 and service was very attentive and food was great, would recommend it.

Food was delicious and the waiters & waitresses were very knowledgeable about the food when asked (there was no "uhhhh i needa go ask the chef"). I would definitely recommend the kung pow beef.

Friendly and courteous serving staff and quick meal service. Skillful handling of special requirements (Gluten free Coeliac) and excellent house Shiraz. Great flavors including some real kick.

The food when served were not hot enough. We saw that the waitress were distracted by incoming customers due to lack of staff, they had to stop serving/pushing trolleys around to seat customers. So by the time the food was served, they had gone cold. Not as much variety as I would like. The restaurant has lots of potential to attract lots of customers, so I hope they improved variety and staffing.

The food we had was very nice, but we didn't get a main dish we ordered and I think my husband actually paid for this dish. We ordered fried ice cream and then a waitress came and said, we apologise but the price has gone up by $4 from $6 to $10 ! The fact is, yes the price has gone up but check your menus before hand and charge the following day!

Nice food, friendly staff. Nice lunch overall. Dim sum a bit bigger than I expected but still nice for all that. Boys would have liked to see rice rolls on the menu.

The food was excellent, the restaurant attractive, staff attentive but the food service was a little hit and miss. The charge for byo alcohol was more than acceptable. Overall a very pleasant evening had by all of us.

Service was less than I would have expected three requests for glasses is two to many food how ever was good smaller groups would me more suited to this establishment

Food was good value for money!! New waitress so service lacked a little eg starters brought no dipping sauces. No serving spoons not offered all cutlery as well as chop sticks. Nice setting & will return to try their yumcha as dumplings were great!!

Service was good, staff friendly, neatly dressed and efficient. I found the food ok not great, chicken tough when it got cooler, beef too salty. Surroundings clean and attractive.

yum cha food for lunch(only available then) was good for 4 out of 5 dishes, young man a very good waiter but waitresses nowhere near as polite or attentive and annoyed that one dish we thought was $6 was actually charged at $9.50 so told them deceiving and should change code on menu, also charged for two people to have chinese tea but only my guest ordered it, also not asked if would like cutlery as assumed would use chopsticks, very authentic chinese experience and would still recommend, my mum enjoyed the $10.50 weekday lunch special today

We went on Father's Day, and the restaurant was extremely busy. Maybe that accounted for the fact that we had very poor service. we had to ask 4 times for water for the table! We had also ordered wine, which we didn't receive until halfway through our yum cha meal, after having to ask if it had been forgotten. The yum cha dishes were also somewhat disappointing, with the dumplings being very gluey in texture, and sticking to the serving dish. The calamari was tasty,but most of it quite tough. While the turnip cakes were also a very disappointing texture. We had been here before just after they opened and really enjoyed it. Maybe the large number of patrons was the reason for the poor service, but it wouldn't account for the dishes. Disappointed.

Best chinese I've had in a long time. Special fried rice recommended! Staff were so friendly and inviting. Would differently go again. Have made this our choice of Chinese resturaunts.

Good personalized service. Top quality fresh dishes. Dumplings are soft and moist and the roast duck is juicy but not too rare. Decor is classy. Above average Chinese restaurant. Nice dining experience.

It's a good place to dine in. The taste of the food was good although it took awhile to serve it, and the staff are quite friendly.

Service excellent and food was very nice and delivered to the table in a timely manner. Beef & Black Bean sauce was excellent. Would definitely go again.

Great service, affordable prices and delicious food! There's not much more you can ask for. Will definitely be returning and bringing more people along next time!

Delicious Chinese favourites duck pancakes, crispy pork & salt & pepper calamari are best we've had in Geelong! Good service although beer could be colder.
