The Groove Train - Harbour Town

Delicious food and very friendly staff. We spent a lovely dinner. It's highly recommended for a meal with friends because the place is big and is well located.

No gluten free options in the starters or desserts menu was disappointing. Mains were nice and service was OK. Don't know if I'd go back again.

Always great service and food at this place. Reasonably priced and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner before or after the footy.

We booked a table for inside hoping to stay away from the cold. The whole restaurant was freezing, we asked to move tables and it was still cold.

Wonderful service. Extremely friendly and upbeat front of house. They were extremely busy thanks to fireworks, however we never felt rushed. The food was quite prompt and very nice.

Staff seem like they would rather be somewhere else. Didn't come back to offer drink top ups. Plates were sitting in front of us for about 15inutes before being cleared. Menu was simple, good variety. Food was ok. Serving sizes were huge, but just seemed over the top.

Food was ordinary. I had a Fishermans basket and it was not fresh, the fish was frozen and the prawns and scallops over cooked. Service patchy Over priced for what it is. There are far better restaurants at cheaper prices in the area

Good food, but was given a more expensive bottle of wine than what we ordered. Didn't want to cause a fuss so we just paid the extra. Overall a good night out..

Took a while to get any service, and some of the things we wanted were not available because they ran out. Food and drinks though were really good

We were a party of 12 adults and children. Quick and friendly service, food came out quickly which was great for hungry kids! Everyone enjoyed their meals, large portions and tasty.

Couldnt eat my main as it had too much spice in it, as if I was eating a jar of Cumin. Waitress didn't even ask why it wasn't eaten just took the plate. Nutella calzone dessert was great though, made up for the main.

Service was great. Staff very friendly. Normal waiting time for service. Food awesome. Clean furniture and rest rooms. Love the owner - one in a million.

We are a large family and there are not many places that handle a family of 10 with such ease and make us feel special

Been twice before and loved it however decided to go last night for my daughters birthday and felt that we needed to hurry up with our meals because staff wanted to go home as we were the only ones in restaurant.It was only 9.30 and its suppose to shut at 10!We spent a bit of money so expected not to be so rushed.Food was great though and the usual manager wasnt working which was a shame as he always makes sure you have a great experience.

14 of us went and all our meals were great, service was friendly and prompt, would recommend it to anyone wanting a night out in the area.

We loved The Groove Train! We were greeted with smiles, service was fast, the food was great! Chicken risotto was delicious! Not overpriced, lots to choose from on the menu

A great meal, great service. Only down side, our main course hit the table as soon a we finished our entrées - we'd prefer a little time between courses.

Groove train was fantastic. Food was delicious. Lovely smiling staff and very accommodating. Definitely a must go there. Only problem was after booking online, there was no booking.

Overall we enjoyed our breakfast at Harbourtown. The location and ambience is great. One negative was that our breakfast was a little over cooked and when delivered to the table was not as hot as it should have been. I was also served bacon with my Eggs Benedict when I ordered ham - but it was Ok.

Friendly service and good food it can be described as upper class pub food so if you're looking for a nice ,casual bistro then groove train is it

Groove Train was fantastic, staff always happy to go that little extra to make your dinning experience just that little more memorable. We were seated as soon as we entered the premises and drink orders were taken straight away, by the time the drinks arrived we were ordering our food. Which arrived with in minutes of ordering, wow what service for Australia Day and the Groove Train was full in and outside. Staff were always ready in antisipation for your further orders. Great experience. Definitely recommend Groove Train Harbour Town right by the big wheel. Then off to the fire works. Keep up the great work John and crew!! Richard

Food tasted ok and generous amounts of it on plates for kids and adults. Had chicken Snitizel, fettuccine carbonara, chicken burger and kids calamari and chips. The only complaint on food would be the crumbed calamari was too overly salted. The service was very slow, waitress didn't come over often and was hard to get their attention from ordering to getting a refill on waters. ( warm night and we were sitting outside in the sun) no cutlery given with meals had to get up and get it myself in the end. After seeing me do this they didn't seem to care. slow to order meals but they did come out at a reasonable time. Not many customers in the restaurant so no excuse for poor service. Noticed it took waitress about 15 min to clear tables near us after patrons had left, looked terrible, The waitresses would just walk past. For the price of meals I would want better service. very laid back restaurant so don't expect to much.

The owner was absolutely fantastic, very friendly, even offered me a free cocktail for my birthday :) The food was beautiful & quick to arrive, will definitely be returning again soon!

Was disappointed with the southern fried chicken burger. It wasn't what I expected it to be. Wouldn't get it again. The other meals were great.
