Kodiak Club in Fitzroy is Melbourne’s only bourbon bar. It’s effortlessly cool, run by a tight circle of friends and it serves modern American bar food to complement the exceptional drinks menu. After bourbon, Kodiak Club is famous for its Buffalo chicken wings that are tossed in hot sauce, but the burgers are also exceptional (try the Willy Dawg), as are the nibbles like the chubby nuggets or poutine crinkles. You’ll find Kodiak Club Fitzroy right on Brunswick Street and we don’t know of much American fare in the area that’s better or more refined. Kodiak Club is popular, obviously, so it’s definitely best to reserve a table ahead of time.
