You can find Asian food all over Perth, and whether you fancy a Japanese joint, a Korean barbecue, a Vietnamese noodle shop, a Chinatown dim sum palace, a Thai temple or a neighbourhood curry house, you’re never going to be stuck for choice. What you might struggle to find elsewhere in Perth are Malaysian halal restaurants, and if you’ve never tasted the cuisine of Kuala Lumpur, then get down to MyRasa and find out what all the fuss is about. Their location – on Welwyn Avenue, right in the heart of Manning – is perfect for locals and tourists alike, they offer halal dishes and their menu is more than enough to merit repeat visits. There are plenty of Malaysian classics on offer: rice with spicy sambal sauces, meat and seafood with lashings of chillies, tofu and other vegetarian options. They’ve got a few Western dishes for the lily-livered and the less adventurous, too. Book a table and get yourself down to Manning for one of the best Malaysian halal restaurants in Perth.

My Rasa has built a name for itself among the locals of Manning, south of the Perth city centre and a stone’s throw from the famous Swan River, as being the go-to spot for delicious and creative Malaysian fare offering halal dishes with their menu being more than enough to merit repeat visits. The food is the star of the show at this Welwyn Avenue restaurant, and the dishes are cooked in true Malaysian style, taking inspiration from the traditions and customs of this supremely flavoursome cuisine.

They’ve got a few western dishes for the lily-livered and the less adventurous, too. We love sampling the nasi lemak of fragrant coconut rice, special sambal, fried anchovies, peanuts, slices of fresh cucumber and a boiled egg with your choice of marinated protein, or the curry laksa with vermicelli noodles, prawns, fish cakes, fish balls, chicken and tofu in a rich and spicy coconut milk gravy that will invigorate your senses. Very good service and great place to have dinner with family
We were a big group who were there to celebrate a birthday. Enjoyed the food and great atmosphere. Friendly staff who were very accommodating. Great location with easy parking.
This is our third time dining here. Our party of 5 enjoyed everything that was served. Two of our guests are visitors to Perth from and were impressed with the quality of food as well as the serving size. MyRasa is a place you must try if you're looking for delicious Malay cuisine.
the food at MyRasa is always our favourite when we crave for delicious Malaysian food. We have tried almost all the dishes and everything is very authentic and yummy. Will always recommend this place to friends and family
Had breakfast with a group of 12 on the weekend. Good selection available, with specials and lunch menu available from after 11.30am. The nasi lemak bungkus brought back memories of my staple of warung delicacies, and was a good portion. The rice was weak in the lemak (coconut milk) but sambal was tasty enough if not spicy. Kudos for serving the ikan bilis (anchovies) and peanuts separate to keep them crunchy, though I wouldn't have minded if it was altogether in the banana leaf wrapping. The fried beehoon and mee goreng also commendable. Portion size sufficient and not spicy - palatable to most Australian tongues. The winners were the Lontong Johor, pulut bakar, ketayap, ondeh-ondeh and kuih keria. The lemak gravy in the lontong had the right consistency and rich in flavour. Add the sambal and I was transported back to my favorite warung in old Malacca that served a similar style of lontong. The pulut bakar was very tasty and the sweet kuih had the right balance of gula melaka to the savory flavour of the dough. Teh and kopi tarik also commendable, though a little dilute. Will return to try their lunch menu and more!
The food at MyRasa is always tasty and of high quality and the relaxing atmosphere is great. I enjoy breakfast there on weekends and also prefer to go to MyRasa when catching up with friends.
We went to MyRasa for an early family dinner with a group of seven of us. Overall experience was excellent, right from the online reservation, getting the table reserved for us was a breeze, to getting the desserts at the end. Enjoyed all the food ordered, especially the nasi goreng kampung!
This small suburban Malaysian place is a secret you don't want anyone to know about. Intensely flavoured food, well cooked and plated with style. The place is fairly new and spotlessly clean and light. Service is friendly, unobtrusive and efficient and a perfect fit for the relaxed nature of My Rasa. A word of warning: the place is neither licensed or BYO. No alcohol allowed. They do make good juices and drinks. A night off alcohol is probably a good thing ...
If you like Malaysian food you'll LOVE My Rasa, the sweet favourites are all there as well as the best roti we've found. The prices are very low despite the lovely fit out of the cafe. The low prices mean you'll be tempted to try everything! The Roti Tissue is a treat for kids with a pyramid of crispy roti as big as their head.
Fantastic Malaysian fare with the Nasi Lemak being the best we tasted in town, particularly the Nasi Lemak bungkus. Pungent fluffy coconut rice with tangy spicy sambal and all the classic components! Also, lucky enough to taste the pulut panggang from the weekend kuih range! absolutely delicious, definitely has become our regular go to spot for authentic Malaysian flavours! Plus service was warm and unpretentious, seriously no reason for not returning!
It is always a pleasure dining at MyRasa. Cute setting, friendly staff and delicious food. I appreciate the cleanliness also very much and that they do coffee.
Good foods, great service and comfortable! Highly recommend the Mee Rebus Johor, a generous dish and packed of flavours. My rasa platter wasn't too bad: outatanding components were the satay and rendang, while the roti canai and tauhu sumbat were good but had better, however the spam balik was a let down as it was slightly dry. Overall it was a great experience as we enjoyed the clean spacious restaurant. Definitely returning to try other items on the menu!
Lovely food, great service. Will definitely be back. MyRasa truly brings the taste of Malaysia to Perth - their sambal is to die for! Highly recommended.
It is a very welcoming place. Staff were friendly and very efficient. The food was great and tasty. We enjoyed ourselves over dinner at MyRasa.
Another good meal, the platter to share was full of tasty morsels and the milo dinosaur was a hit with the children. We tried the kway teow goreng and nasi goreng kampung for the first time, and both did not disappoint. Full of flavour, and generous portions to share.
We have been here a couple of times and it has always impressed us. We had the lontong and mee rebus Johor today and loved the flavors in it. And the hot teh terik was thick and not so sweet.
Wonderful food as always! The team at MyRasa are always so welcoming and ensure that we have a good time.
A table for 3 people. Family dinner gathering. Got in and seated. Good lighting for a selfie or two. Lol. Ordered our food. We got given water. Food was delivered not long and the drinks we ordered. Food was yummy.
Have been visiting this place for authentic Malaysian food and it has never failed to impress. The food tastes very authentic and there a selection of choices for Malaysian and also Western food. The servings are also very huge and worth it.
Had my usual chicken chop and it was as delicious as ever. Rest of the table shared roti tisu, mee hoon goreng and the beef salad and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well.
