You can find Asian food all over Perth, and whether you fancy a Japanese joint, a Korean barbecue, a Vietnamese noodle shop, a Chinatown dim sum palace, a Thai temple or a neighbourhood curry house, you’re never going to be stuck for choice. What you might struggle to find elsewhere in Perth are Malaysian halal restaurants, and if you’ve never tasted the cuisine of Kuala Lumpur, then get down to MyRasa and find out what all the fuss is about. Their location – on Welwyn Avenue, right in the heart of Manning – is perfect for locals and tourists alike, they offer halal dishes and their menu is more than enough to merit repeat visits. There are plenty of Malaysian classics on offer: rice with spicy sambal sauces, meat and seafood with lashings of chillies, tofu and other vegetarian options. They’ve got a few Western dishes for the lily-livered and the less adventurous, too. Book a table and get yourself down to Manning for one of the best Malaysian halal restaurants in Perth.

There are plenty of Malaysian classics on offer at My Rasa: rice with spicy sambal sauces, meat and seafood with lashings of chillies, tofu and other vegetarian options. They’ve got a few western dishes for the lily-livered and the less adventurous, too. We love sampling the nasi lemak of fragrant coconut rice, special sambal, fried anchovies, peanuts, slices of fresh cucumber and a boiled egg with your choice of marinated protein, or the curry laksa with vermicelli noodles, prawns, fish cakes, fish balls, chicken and tofu in a rich and spicy coconut milk gravy that will invigorate your senses. Went there on Friday night, table was reserved. Food served quite fast. Very friendly service. The food was good. Very happy. We will be back again
MyRasa is one of my favourite restaurant. The food is authentic and the owners and staff are lovely. I have never tasted the same authenticity in other restaurants. The fish curry, mee rojak, fish cooked 3 ways are my favourites. My kids loved the chicken chop that comes with the authentic mushroom sauce. 😋😋 Also not forgetting their Teh tarik (milk tea).
Aaaaaaaamazing food & drinks!!! Every time i dine there im always satisfied with how much i paid for. Staff members has awesome people skills. Rate 6/6!!!!
Friendly owner and lovely Malaysian cuisine! We particularly like the Malaysian coffee and Teh Tarik. The platter is a must try which gives you a taste of everything in mini sizes.
Had breakfast with a group of 12 on the weekend. Good selection available, with specials and lunch menu available from after 11.30am. The nasi lemak bungkus brought back memories of my staple of warung delicacies, and was a good portion. The rice was weak in the lemak (coconut milk) but sambal was tasty enough if not spicy. Kudos for serving the ikan bilis (anchovies) and peanuts separate to keep them crunchy, though I wouldn't have minded if it was altogether in the banana leaf wrapping. The fried beehoon and mee goreng also commendable. Portion size sufficient and not spicy - palatable to most Australian tongues. The winners were the Lontong Johor, pulut bakar, ketayap, ondeh-ondeh and kuih keria. The lemak gravy in the lontong had the right consistency and rich in flavour. Add the sambal and I was transported back to my favorite warung in old Malacca that served a similar style of lontong. The pulut bakar was very tasty and the sweet kuih had the right balance of gula melaka to the savory flavour of the dough. Teh and kopi tarik also commendable, though a little dilute. Will return to try their lunch menu and more!
This is our third time dining here. Our party of 5 enjoyed everything that was served. Two of our guests are visitors to Perth from and were impressed with the quality of food as well as the serving size. MyRasa is a place you must try if you're looking for delicious Malay cuisine.
The food at MyRasa is always tasty and of high quality and the relaxing atmosphere is great. I enjoy breakfast there on weekends and also prefer to go to MyRasa when catching up with friends.
We went to MyRasa for an early family dinner with a group of seven of us. Overall experience was excellent, right from the online reservation, getting the table reserved for us was a breeze, to getting the desserts at the end. Enjoyed all the food ordered, especially the nasi goreng kampung!
This small suburban Malaysian place is a secret you don't want anyone to know about. Intensely flavoured food, well cooked and plated with style. The place is fairly new and spotlessly clean and light. Service is friendly, unobtrusive and efficient and a perfect fit for the relaxed nature of My Rasa. A word of warning: the place is neither licensed or BYO. No alcohol allowed. They do make good juices and drinks. A night off alcohol is probably a good thing ...
the food at MyRasa is always our favourite when we crave for delicious Malaysian food. We have tried almost all the dishes and everything is very authentic and yummy. Will always recommend this place to friends and family
