Oozing cool, Ninja Teppanyaki in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD gives you a feeling of being in the thick of the vibrant streets of Tokyo. This effortlessly hip restaurant on Spencer Street serves an array of Japanese dishes – from fresh sashimi platters and sushi filled with fried soft shell crab, scallions, unagi and spicy mayo, to teriyaki dishes, curries and some of the best wagyu beef in the city. The menu here is as creative as it gets (it is Melbourne after all) and the quality is some of the best you’ll find, making it a hub for foodies in the know. As such, it tends to fill up, so as you’d expect for any city centre restaurant, booking ahead is highly recommended.
