Okami - Pakenham

Extremely slow and very poor customer service, multiple times asked for service and walked off on. Took ages to get food out or even take an order. Had to ask for plates to be cleared as they were left to stack up. This restaurant needs some help ASAP

Meal was ok, we ordered miseo soup at the start & received it near the end of our meal, some dishes were cold. Not the best meal we have had & yet we have dined there a lot. Maybe the chef has changed.

We have been to Okami Pakenham many times, we have always been so positive about going here and always recommend. We invited our parents as they’d never tried it before…. I feel embarrassed they had to pay for such a disappointing dinner. Arrived at 5:30 drinks and food ordered. Two drinks took 15 minutes. First lot of food came half an hour later; half what we ordered never arrived. Re-ordered missing items, and double of the next lot. An hour and half later we still didn’t have 1/3 of what we ordered. Rice was cold and hard, octopus balls cold and small. Beef was tough and cold with hardly any seasoning. Service was terrible; no one apologised for long wait, at one stage we had been waiting 30mins for food. Tables around us who ordered after us getting served first. Obviously feedback is falling on deaf ears because same feedback has been left but no improvement made. Won’t be returning to this Okami ever again.

The food was fantastic but the service was very slow. A annoying part was not being able to pay 50 / 50 of the bill total with the couple that we had the meal with. It would have been more helpfull if we could have paid half half

The service and the food was amazing. Dishes came out really quickly. The only thing is for a child, probably a bit expensive as they really don't each much, but in perspective the adult meals were reasonably priced being all you can eat.

A little peace of heaven... The chef in the Pakenham OKAMI restaurant cooks amazingly! We regularly go to this place, and the food is always beautiful. They use fresh ingredients, and the chef cooks them to perfection. Absolutely divine!

For $40 a head Okami really needs to do better. My partner and I were waiting upwards of 20 minutes for our orders each time, which arrived in separate parts and were often cold or undercooked. We were frustrated at the general noise levels and proximity to other tables in the restaurant, as well as the lack of concern given to us when we enquired about our food or commented on its sub-par nature. Rather than a sophisticated all-you-can-eat dining experience, we felt more like cattle shoved into a feeding station. I am very disappointed. I have eaten at a different outlet of this chain before with no such hassles, and my experience at Pakenham is likely due to the outlet being intentionally overcrowded to profit from the school holiday boom. For the incredibly poor level of service we received, I cannot recommend in-store dining at Pakenham Okami to anyone.

Was my first time there, food was amazing and definitely worth the money.

I requested a booth as I have a bad knee and the booth causes less pain. When we got there we were told that there was no booth for us. A courtesy call would have been appreciated to give us the opportunity to make a different decision. I also called and confirmed we had a booth. Not impressed considering the booth that was vacant was never used. The male staff member that signed us in was rude and not interested when I mentioned we booked a booth.

Staff very great and friendly, busy night have been there a few times. At times the ordered food is forgotten which has occurred on several occasions. Staff very great to fix and bring out it does dull the experience.

Slow service, noisy place and had to ask the attendents several times to turn off the a/c above our heads as it was freezing even with a coat on. The food was of no better standard or variety than a food court.

An excellent venue - the food and service was great. The only downside was a very noisy baby near by, however, that can't be helped and isn't the restaurant's fault. We'll definitely be back!

We really liked the visit but, the tables were a little crowded and the table behind us were a little obnoxious.
