Take, for instance, the Malaysian mee goreng, which features chunky egg noodles much fresher than what you’d find in your average Melbourne Asian eatery; in the same way, the range of Thai dishes featuring tasty duck (we can particularly recommend the basil-infused version) shows an appreciation for the sensitive balance of spicy, salty, sour and sweet required to make authentic, delicious Thai food.
