Visited Today for Birthday Lunch of a Wine club member. Foods was of highest quality Wines were delicious Brad and services staff were attentive and provided use with Amazing service.

Brad and the team were very educated and passionate about their business. A beautiful winery with absolutely superb food and atmosphere. This winery is an absolute delight and worth the time. 10/10

The service (by the partner himself) was excellent. He (Matthew ?) was very friendly and co-operative. The wine - by the glass - at $ 12 a glass - was too expensive, the Chardonnay had almost no bouquet and the Chardonnay fruit was hardly detectable (I am a former wine merchant and vineyard owner myself). The food was good, the helpings a bit small. Although the place was empty, the ambience is pleasant and we will give it another try later in the year

It’s a Great place and friendly staff with nice scenery

Our table of 4 arrived at 1:30 pm and we placed our meal orders approximately @2:pm but unfortunately we didn’t start our meal until 3:15 as our entree had been accidentally given to another table; management were very apologetic and we were offered a complimentary wine and we were given undivided attention extremely well handled. Many thanks for a positive experience which could have easily ended quite differently.

The whole experience at Steels Gate is spectacular! We had the Kerala beef curry and the pork tacos and paired that with the 2017 Pinot - absolutely stunning. We then shifted down to the grass area to enjoy the autumn afternoon sun. Ticked every box for a relaxing family afternoon.

Good food, location, people and wine. A nice small boutique winery

We had a fantastic Mother’s Day lunch at the Steels Gate cellar door restaurant. The cellar door restaurant is a magical place to spend a special day, the food is amazing, the staff is wonderful and of course the wine is the finest in the valley! Thank you Matt and Brad for the memorable Mother’s Day!

The guys at Steels Gate have really established themselves as the benchmark against which all other cellar doors should measure themselves - beautiful views, classy decor and service to match. The food is great, especially the tasting platter. Unfortunately I’m the regular driver, but I’m told the wines are impeccable.

The food was very average. The slaw salad that came with the salmon was dry and not tasty. Drove 50 minutes to the winery hoping to eat delicious food but was not satisfied with the quality and taste of the food.

We had an amazing sharing plate.... the best we have eaten. Lovely view from the balcony overlooking the vineyards and rolling hills. The wine is beautiful. We enjoyed the experience so much we bought a voucher to gift. Brad the owner was a wonderful host and the staff were very attentive.

Amazing views and even more amazing service. Meals were so delicious and our children had a blast outside running around. Can’t wait to come back again.

Great wines, yummy food, lovely views and friendly staff. Steels Gate has it all. Plus some affordable local art from painter Bruce Grahame. We were not disappointed and will be coming back again.
