Spanish cuisine is all about diversity of ingredients and flavours. From the pan amb tomaquet – bread with garlic and tomato – that starts every meal in Catalunya to the tarta Santiago – flourless almond cake – that tops one off in Compostela, there is something for everyone in Spain. At Tapas Tapas Bodega on Pacific Highway in Turramurra, their menu boasts the finest dishes that the country has to offer right here in Sydney in the form of tapas, small plates designed to be shared, so you can be sure of getting a little bit of everything to try.
Turramurra is some 30 mins in the car from Sydney CBD, and with a location on Pacific Highway, you can get from your door to theirs in no time. You’ll be glad you did, as the maximum time possible is needed at this authentic Spanish tapas bar, where the plates just keep coming and coming. Begin with a few cold meat dishes – chorizo, marinated anchovies and jamon Iberico, or Spanish ham. Move onto tapas staples such as croquetas, albondigas and the ubiquitous Spanish omelette. The menu at Tapas Tapas Bodega is focussed on Spanish cuisine, but also prides itself on using high-quality Australian products to create their dishes,so you can be sure that your food is fresh. Don’t just take our word for it – book a table now and try a few tapas for yourself!
Great service and delicious food! Even got a non alcoholic sangria for my 14 year old so he could join my birthday celebration. Thanks for a great evening.
Great friendly family vibe, great invitational dishes. The delectable Croquettes, Spatchcock & amazing dark fig sauce. Spanish beers and wine. Come once, you'll be back!
Food was amazing! And the service was very attentive. It has the vibe of an authentic Spanish tapas bar. We will be going back for sure!
Excellent Spanish tapas in a nice and authentic atmosphere. Good wine and beer selection with great service - we will definitely come back to enjoy a little bit of Spain in Australia 😉
The food at Tapas Tapas Bodega is as usual excellent. The service is friendly. It is a great place to dine, no matter whether it is with friends or family. They also give good suggestions about Spanish wines that go well with the food that you order.
It was again a wonderful experience dining at Tapas Tapas Bodega. This time, we tried the slow cooked pork belly. It was very delicious. Although it was a very busy weekend evening, the food was as usual excellent.
Friendly and attentive service from all front of house team. Spent time to explain daily specials and recommend wines from Spain - good selection by the glass. Both smoked swordfish and beetroot cured tuna were beautifully presented and tasted good. Perhaps beetroot a little too salty. Partner had meatballs and morcilla (black pudding) both also good but perhaps a little too much potato with the black pudding stack. Will definitely go again so many other tapas to try. Would also be perfect for small group to share as tasting plates.
We again had a great time dining at Tapas Tapas Bodega. It was a busy Saturday night. The food was excellent as usual although some of our favourite dishes were sold out. We decided to go there early next time.
This is a small and bustling eatery with great atmosphere. The service was good but we struggled to have our water refilled. The food recommendations were helpful and overall the food was really excellent. The one disappointment was the serve of paella which was only average taste-wise and for $35 for a smallish plate was excessively priced. At $12-$13 it would have been OK. Despite this one shortcoming, this place will definitely become a regular for us. Overall great meal.
First time at Tapas Tapas Bodega and it won't be the last! Great night, food was excellent with some interesting "off piste" dishes. Atmosphere was vibrant and staff very friendly and accommodating.
Absolutely loved it! We went to celebrate our daughters 25th birthday. Food was absolutely amazing, we all loved every dish. Octopus incredible, best we have ever tasted, authentic food, wine and beer, looooved the homemade sangria and the whole atmosphere. Family owned business. And we were delighted to support them. Son going back this weekend with his vegetarian girlfriend. Well done !!
As usual, it was a great experience dining at Tapas Tapas Bodega. The food is always delicious. Service is always friendly and excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.
The food and service were excellent. Especially the croquettes and meatballs, very authentic. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. I would highly recommend Tapas Tapas Bodega for a highly enjoyable evening out.
Great friendly service wit plenty of room but make sure you have a booking the food was just fantastic, I will recommend Tapas Tapas Bodega to everyone.
Fabulous food as always and great service. Tapas Tapas Bodega is a quirky Spanish restaurant in Turramurra and is worth a visit for the food and wine
My husband & I normally travel down to the city for Spanish but that is no longer the case now we have discovered this little GEM❤️ Very welcoming great food many different beers for my hubby & an awesome selection of wines. I know we will return many times... Happy wife happy life💏👍🏽
Food is superb and reasonably priced. Great choice of dishes, wines and beers, including Sangria. Due to the heat the outside tables were unusable. As my wife is disabled, she cannot sit on a stool for long. Some people kindly vacated a table for us which was appreciated. Enjoyed the night. Lovely restaurant.
We are regular visitors to Tapas Tapas Bodega. We always thoroughly enjoy the ambience, the friendly service and the interesting, delicious food. Tony and Virginia Turramurra
Outstanding food and great service. Great range of Spanish beers. Ramon and Christa are wonderful hosts who helped us to explore some amazing dishes. You can pop in for a quick snack or linger to explore more flavours. We will be back. A little taste of Spain on the North Shore.
Delightful staff and very good food. A gastronomic delight. The menu is quite comprehensive with a good selection of Spanish wines. If you enjoy sharing and eating bits and pieces rather than having one plate of food served to you this is what you get. But that is the Spanish way of eating. It is very satisfying and filling. Highly recommended!
As always, the service here is excellent; both friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, our high expectations for the food, based on previous visits, were not met. I suspect that in part this was a function of the heavy Friday evening traffic and I am sure that it will return from being just good to excellent on our next visit. Meantime, it has to be said that their Sangria is the best that Sydney has to offer.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic - very authentic and reasonably priced. Highly recommend a visit to Tapas Tapas Bodega.
The food again was perfect. The owners were very friendly. They can provide excellent advice not only on the choice of dishes but also choices of wines and beer. The pork and lamb meatballs, croquettes, and cured ocean trout are as always absolutely delicious. I will go there again.
We dined with friends on a Saturday evening. The food was very good and all the dishes we ordered were of the same high quality. The service was friendly. The owners were there as well. They were attentive without being intrusive. It was a really good evening.
Always delicious and always fun. The wines are good and not your standard fare, the staff are always happy to give recommendations based on your tastes. The chorizo and Toriltilla are delicious, as they should be in this sort of place, as were the mussel stuffed Olives.
Have been there a few times now. The food is to die for. Very honest people and sincere people, we ordered the scallops once and was given 2 extra because the size was a little bit small. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant to everyone!
Very busy little restaurant and had been excited to try. Glad we were able to tick off our list and had an enjoyable night but wasn't blown away and probably won't go back. Like I said, enjoyed the night and highlight was the meatballs and chorizo but surprised that our pepper and sardine dish was cold and olives weren't great. Good food... Not amazing food.
Very friendly and efficient wait staff. They clearly knew their Spanish food. They explained the menu well, and advised how to order gradually to enhance the Tapas dining experience. The Spanish wine list was modest but good quality. They food was very tasty.
This is a wonderful authentic Spanish experience. The proprietor chef hand selects the very best Spanish wines and beers; and the tapas dishes are an innovative taste sensation. The husband and wife team adds that personal familiar touch. It is a must experience!
Our first visit to Tapas Tapas Bodega was a very enjoyable experience. Not just very good food but also staff that care about their customers.
The tapas was great; the quail and slow cooked lamb were standouts. Mine hostess was extremely helpful with choosing the dishes and wines, particularly as we had a GF table member. The drink waiter needs to be more engaging. Thoroughly recommended and we all said we would return.
Great food, only disappointment was one item on the menu advertised peppers stuffed with prawns but came stuffed with mince, as I don't eat red meat this was disappointing especially as the menu is quite meat focussed. Great atmosphere and the rest of the food was delicious. Be aware not to sit outside under the aircon/heater, it is noisy!
Brilliant food topped of with an amazing array of wines and the people are amazing. Loved it and it now become our favourite local haunt. A tip don't sit at the bar furthest from the street.
As always, both the food and service were perfect. We will go there again. It is difficult/impossible to try all dishes at one time. There are so many to choose. There always are something special.
Awesome experience, fabulous fresh original food, Ramon and his wife are fantastic hosts and chief. While it is a bit pricey it is well worth it. Everyone enjoyed themselves and cant wait to go back
Very authentic, great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Family owned by a proper spanish family. Honestly feels like you're in a tapas bar in Barcelona! Must try the meatballs, the sauce is to die for!
Exceptional attentive service in a quiet modern setting. Perfect for casual drinks too with a bar on the side and the food was rich and delicious - Ive never had a better tasting meatball!
Great little restaurant. Fantastic tasty food, the stuffed calamari is a must. They also have a good range of Spanish wines. The owners are really friendly and happy to chat. Overall a great experience.
A beautiful small restaurant with amazing food. The tapas were both tasty and a fantastic portion size. We went on a mid week night which was quiet but the atmosphere was lovely and relaxing.
Really friendly service through the evening. Delicious food, with a great menu and many daily / seasonal specials and very helpful recommendations. Have been a few times before and will definitely be back again.
Food was wonderful. Service very good and proprietors very friendly, approachable and helpful. We had very little experience of Tapas and they provided us with a selection of foods which offered a wide variety of flavours, textures and aromas. Delicious!!
Terrific food with genuine flavours. The lamb filled peppers were a standout dish. The staff were very attentive and friendly as they assisted us throughout the dinner in choosing a selection of tapa to match our tastes. A great dinner.
Having only experienced one other Tapas restaurant, that being Encasa at Lane Cove, I felt the food at Bodega did not quite meet the same delicious experience...shame though, as I live in Turramurra. I would also like to add, that I have had nicer olives bought from Harris Farm.
The food was amazing, especially the slow cooked pork belly & flourless almond cake The staff were very welcoming & explained the menu extensively. Will go back again. Recommend to make a booking as the place is really busy.
Excellent food; really delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful when we asked about different tapas. We felt it was a warm atmosphere and we were very comfortable; a lovely night overall.
Great food, quick service, the decor is slightly caught in a time trap but the food makes up for it. Tasty morsels a little different from your average upper north shore eatery!
High quality food with service that makes you feel right at home. I can recommend this place if you like true Tapas made as if you are in Spain. Definitely a N Shore standard on our restaurant list.
Friendly service and tasty food. Good quality dishes and nice sangria. Reasonable prices. Portion sizes could have been a tad larger but still a good night out nonetheless. Thank you! Great for our gluten free diner as well.
We loved it, love the food and the restaurant. Feels like a real spanish tapas bar last Saturday night when it was very busy. We have been a few times now and love it, we will be back!
A wonderful experience. The food was sensational - fresh and cooked with love. A chef who loves his food and wonderful service with a very family feel. A treasure for Turramurra.
