The waitress is very helpful and relaxing environment. We enjoy the 4 ppl meal there very much. My son has told us the venue has been renovated and it feels very American way indeed!

The food was fantastic. The Garlic Prawns were some of the best I have had and the Rib Eye Steak. Just Mouth Watering. Staff were very friendly, had a really great dinner. Will be back.

We were welcomed by a really nice young man (Charlie). He looked after us really well. He’s an asset to the place. The decor is warm and welcoming. The food excellent (large serves). A really nice lunchtime experience.

Generous serves, lovely food, good service, great variety of dishes and not too crowded. Again, we had a fun evening which wasn't a late night, it being Thursday.

Four of us had a delicious, relaxing lunch with the standout being the seafood. As we hadn't seen one another for some time there was plenty of talking and we were not pushed to order in fact told 'take your time, there is no rush'.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was well cooked and delicious. The restaurant was decorated in a 50s Diner style which was fun, comfortable and a great choice for families or a few friends. We'd eat there again.

Great Staff. Friendly and Helpful. Great tasting food. Interesting venue. I think it used to be a Land Rover repair centre. They did a really good job with the renovation. I would happily come here again.

We enjoyed a delicious, generous meal with great service in a large, trendy and comfortable restaurant. Our window view/table enhanced the experience. Will return soon.

My friend and I had calamari for the entree and we had to leave more than half as we have never tried to eat such tough, rubbery calamari. In fact, her comment were 'this is the worst calamari I have ever eaten,' and I had to agree. I then followed with grilled rockling and it was very dry with one side being grilled for far too long so that it was hard especially around the edges. The only good comment for the main courses was the steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious! The Tarte Tartin for dessert was delicious!

It's a convenient nice place for a casual meal for couples or families and the service is friendly. Meals are cooked and presented quite simple and taste OK except for the blue cheese gnocchi which was very saucy and creamy

Loved the funky ambience and the very friendly service. Food was great with generous portion sizes. The garlic prawns are to die for and the chorizo was delish. Great!

The meals and customer service were good. The meals would be a lot better if there was sauce on both the steak and duck confit.

Service was very slow. The menu sparse but the food great but could of been smaller portions. The waitress very friendly. Only been open 6 weeks so think they could still be having teething problems.

inexperience staffs in order taking, need to provide right utensils for certain food (no wash bowl and napkin for eating BBQ ribs, conditions on Cudo is different from the restaurant, have to pay $5 extra for rib (not listed in Cudo's terms and conditions), foods are very good though

First time diners & all, were extremely satisfied customers. Used Groupon voucher for 4people, & ordered The USA Tennessee pork ribs, father & son had the rib eye, & son no'2 had lasagna. All were absolutely delicious. Drinks & desserts included. If planning a date night, there's a movie theatre across the road (you can see it from the restaurant). There's parking out the back up the laneway (there are free 1 hr parking spaces, but we parked our car undercover $2.90/hr or approx $6 all day, as I knew we were going to be there for more than an hour. Restaurant wasn't really busy (12pm booking on a Sunday, Father's Day), only 4 other tables occupied by families, so we would've been there for about an hour & a half all up. Definitely recommend The Laneway Brasserie & Bar, & have booked to return for a lunch date with my niece.

The mains where delicious - ribs - meat falling off the bone. New York steak - fantastic!!! Desserts took a while to come out but were delicious. I think there was a function on so maybe that’s why there was a delay but our mains came out quickly!

Great pork ribs. Meat just falls of the bones and juicy. Sticky date pudding for desert is the best I had for a while, can taste the date. Would return for another meal.

I recently caught up with some mates here. It has a nice feel to the layout. We received really friendly service and the meals were excellent. We shared entrees which lent themselves to be treated like tapas (the garlic prawns were brilliant) and then chowed down on some perfect steaks. We all went away happy.

The food was yummy and waitress were really helpful and friendly, even the head waiter came and asked how was our food etc Really good service and food. The only thing we like to see change is the coffee, not sure whether the barrister was away or they have a lousy barrister; both my husband and I had coffee and The Laneway Brasserie couldn't do good coffee.

We tried out this new restaurant in Camberwell/Hawthorn on a Cudo coupon. We just loved the decor as I felt like I was back in New York. The owner was really welcoming and made us feel special. The food was generous and very tasty and we all enjoyed our meal. The only reason for not giving full marks was that the waitstaff, although very pleasant and friendly, could have been more attentive as we had to attract them to order both desert and coffees. We will be back!
