The Scarborough Hotel has been around since 1886, so you could say it’s a legendary spot in this part of Wollongong. The focus at this Scarborough restaurant is on fresh, modern Australian food with something for just about everyone. There’s a menu for the little ones – kids’ meals even include a bottomless cup of juice or soft drink – and there are also plenty of options for vegetarians and gluten-free diners, too. We certainly meant it when we said there’s something for everyone at The Scarborough Hotel!
A quick gander at The Scarborough Hotel’s menu is enough to see that this Wollongong restaurant knows exactly what the people want. Which is why there is a whole host of delicious, fresh seafood on offer at The Scarborough Hotel. We recommend either the Cone Bay barramundi with saffron potato salad or the beer-battered fish & chips if you’re a seafood fan. If seafood isn’t what you’re craving though, go for the pulled pork burger topped with fennel slaw, rocket, roasted capsicum and aioli. All this great food combined with the beauty of The Scarborough Hotel’s outdoor dining space makes for a dining experience you won’t be forgetting. So book a table and head to The Scarborough on Lawrence Hargrave Drive in Scarborough – you won’t be disappointed.
We found making reservations was a good idea. We got a reserved table overlooking the ocean and didn't have to troll around for one like others without reservations. The service was good and people very friendly and helpful. One trick though - if with a group buy with one order and not separate orders because the food came out at different times. It was good food with a great ambiance!
Great place. World class views. Booked cliff side cabana for 9, (4 adults and 5 kids) Such an easy venue for us. Suited everyone. We will always come back each time we go down the coast. Thanks for having us!
Great location, fast and friendly service. Good food, good prices, cannot fault anything. A must do for a meal or just a nice cold drink if heading down the south coast.
