You won’t find a better view anywhere. An amazing lawn beer garden overlooking the ocean.
Nice atmosphere and had a lovely afternoon. Food was good except inflexible in replacing chips with salad for my fish and chips order. Was it that hard to make a customer happy in this case?
The venue is beautiful however the menu is a bit over priced and not a lot of choice
Visited for a quick lunch on a lovely day and ate in the garden. We had booked online and were given a prime table. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We are fish and chips and then heirloom tomato and burrata salad. Would love to return and spend a few hours.
Excellent venue, menu could be a bit bigger, offer of grazing plates Bar selection very good. Awesome atmosphere
Staff were extremely welcoming and wonderful, awesome views. Will definitely go back
Food is amazing plus the views/scenery, friendly staff are also amazing too.
Great views a liitle chiily on the balcony great atmosphere
The location and view is amazing! I really was disappointed with the sticky pork belly salad. The flavour was awesome but it wasn’t a “salad” it was pork belly with coriander and mint garnish with a couple pieces of pineapple and tomatoes. It really needed some crunchy texture like cabbage maybe crispy noodles to really be a decent portioned meal considering the price.
Nice place. Overly limited menu. Way over-priced. Two couples, order taken at the same time. One couple nearly finished main course before the others received theirs.
nice view and food was decent but probably not value for money.
Food was much better than our last visit and service prompt.
It's my favoirite restaurant. The 1 and a half hours travel for me to get there is worth it.
Staff were helpful, very good service, had the fish & chips, it had a distinct taste of something else, Picking up a flavour of something else cooked in the oil. Otherwise, the beautiful spot, friendliest took that away. Thank you 😊
Asked for a table with a view and got a great table in the garden with spectacular views. Staff were really friendly and the meal was superb. We will certainly come back. Rob Brash
Ten out of ten would recommend to a friend. :)
This is a beautiful pub with amazing scenery with a great open area that is pet friendly. The staff seem genuinely happy to help and are polite and courteous when talking to you. I had to make a couple of changes to our booking and every time they were more than happy to make the changes as we were giving them plenty of notice. There are however two downsides, the price and size of the meals and coffees. It wasn't just me who commented on this, our entire party of 10 made the same comments. 1 Lamb skewer on a salad for $27, it wasn't a huge skewer, just a normal one. The sticky pork belly and salad that was like looking for Piglet in dense undergrowth for $29. These are more like your swanky inner city prices and meals, not a typical pub feed. As for the coffee, well it was nice coffee but the large was more like a small. The best value for money was the kids meals. Would I go again, now that I know what to expect, yes I would. We had great company, the service was reasonably quick despite the crowd that was there, and the view is the icing on the cake.
Ran out of food, mixed messages from the kitchen, said you were allowed to use card, lined up for 20 mins then was cash only. Average food.
Waited 1 1/2 for our food .. beautiful spot , but needs music and or children playground
Very friendly guy showed us to our pre-booked table at 2pm which had a lovely view out to sea. Warned us service was a little slower due to Public Holiday. Had to find a menu. When we ordered at 2.30pm we were told almost of the fish dishes and burgers were sold out. Food was good quality but one Lamb skewer on a salad mix seemed a little poor and expensive as a Main for the price...we had looked at the Menu online so knew what we wanted. Staff are friendly and courteous and given it was a Holiday weekend did a good job but we were disappointed with the lack of choice in the Menu.
Was a lovely afternoon. Beautiful spot. Would definitely go again.
Great spot - great food - well worth a visit 👌
Just a fantastic place. Great food. Great view. Great service.
Excellent from the minute we walked in, friendly and efficient staff.
Great service and the waiters were amazing - excellent atmosphere and vibe.
One suggestion would be if the waiters can bring the food to the tables it would be great
Delicious found, great service, great location, fantastic view! What else could you want??
A great setting for a school reunion. Wonderful views, good food and well-priced wines. Easy access from the train.
Just stunning views, friendly staff, Could have more variety in meals. My hamburger was rather rare inside and sloppy, bun went soggie. Mentioned it to the staff and they we’re going to give me another one but I declined so I was given a huge brownie. Well done for looking after your patrons.
Very friendly people. Thank you very much indeed. Ah ah
Perfect location with great ambiance. Food staff were a little abrupt but bar staff were lovely. Food was delicious.
Great food and service, fantastic ambience not to mention the spectacular scenery.
we had a great seat. Half as a no half shade. The view was good and the food was good
Overpriced & underfed. Service? We had to order at the counter & pick up our own food, so no points for service. The ONLY saving grace is the location.
The Scarborough is Wonderful place for any occasion It never disappoints
Lunch on Friday plenty of people but not too crowded. Food was very good and service was reasonably quick. The open fire was welcomed on a cool day.
No steak on the menu, pricey for what it is and no table service. Very limited menu. A bit odd really. Nice view .....
Nice experience and love the view. Friendly and helpful staff
We had the last available booking @ 14.30 and the kitchen had experienced problems before we arrived which meant there was a back-log and you could tell there were high stress levels amongst staff. We were initially refused service as the kitchen had closed, which they rectified immediately they realised we had a booking and had been delayed ordering because of the earlier queue. Very polite and accommodating, didn't rush us after the food arrived and alerted us to last orders for coffee/desserts and drinks. Sh*t happens in hospitality, it's how it's dealt with that defines whether customers return. We will be back!
Great view. Great food. Great service. Great place for lunch
yes I want to go there again because it was very good.
Fantastic location. Beautiful food. Service great with very friendly staff.
Great staff. very accommodating on a busy public holiday and couldn’t be more pleasant. Food and location spot on.
Wonderful view and there is good space between tables out in the beer garden. Dog friendly and great food. Highly recommend at this time of year too (April)
Booked balcony this time great ocean view. Ordered Anzac special lamb pie and mash amazing. Staff so friendly and helpful. Will be back.
The kitchen ran out of food which limited what the kids were able to eat.
Perfect morning, glorious outlook. Breakfast overlooking the ocean was a beautiful way to spend Easter Sunday with family 🐣 Scarborough hotel never disappoints. Staff as exceptional as always 👍🏻
Location amazing. Great food from a limited menu. Staff and experience was perfect. A definite must.
great place with good service and a wonderful relaxed environment.
It's a great place, wine and beer options interesting, and the staff are lovely. Just need more filling vego options on the menu. $24 for a salad with hardly anything in it is not OK. Try offering a veg burger.
