The Village Door

The food portion and taste are quite good. The cozy, compact dining area adds a warm and intimate atmosphere. One downside is that street parking can be hard to find.

Terrible terrible service. I had to wave someone down, to get water and to order. The wait was long. The food ok. Dutch pancakes dry, and my avo toast had so much balsamic it was soggy. We were not approached at all. Happily standing behind the counter. Someone smashed a glass and the shards flew onto our table and hit me on the head. My son was missing half his order that didn’t arrive. Would have had another coffee if the waiters cared to ask. Missing out on opportunities to make more money from customers. Any way I won’t Go back.

The service was amazing and food plenty and tasty too.

The meals were very ordinary. Do not even think about going out back to the toilet they were disgusting.

The boards are amazing, the cevapi definitely a highlight and coffee was great too!

The Village door was nice. Got the Calimari salad, was nice but not enough calamari. Plenty of chips and salad, besides that was nice. Environment was got and comfortable. Staff were good and helpful. Probably be back again but try something else.

Food was decent coffee was fantastic service was fine but half of the tables good came out 15 minutes after the other half also inside can be extremely loud

A little more room would be great the food was spot on thank you

Nice, friendly, hearty and wholesome. Big 2/3x person breakfast board with a mix of nice ‘sweet treat’ and ‘meat for days’ makes for nice experience with the nomnom’s and service.

It was ok... the coffee was Luke warm & the breakfast was also only warm. The food was served on what I could only discribe as a rectangle platter, how I didn't spill the excessive beetroot holindaise over the side i dont know. Also I like to turn my plate as I eat, cant do that with a rectangular plate. Would I go back when next in Geelong, probably not.

I found the service not that attentive I had to ask for things a couple of times without any real action. The standard and quantity of food has fallen from the last time I was there. I ordered quite a substantial amount and things have minimised in size and quantity from last time and the food was cold which was unfortunate. Overall not a really professional experience to what I was used of here obviously owners I would say have changed.

We ordered the breakfast platter and it did not disappoint. So much to eat and cooked so nicely.
