Tucked away in the vibrant backstreets of Darlington lies Twenty 8 Acres. This charming, rustic and sunny cafe is located on the beautiful Darling Nursery grounds on Ivy Lane, not too far from Victoria Park, and has got locals loving it for its fresh food and delicious coffee made with carefully chosen local produce from artisan suppliers. But this Sydney cafe doesn’t just source their ingredients, rather, they go to great lengths for their menu and create most of it in-house, even going as far as curing their salmon and pickling their vegetables. Talk about passion for food! With a menu that’s inspired and packed with flavour, alongside superb coffee and zesty fresh juices, Twenty 8 Acres has got all your bases covered. Bookings are essential.
For a sun-soaked brunch in a quiet laneway you can't go past Twenty 8 Acres. The service was smiling and friendly; the food was creative, tasty and generous. Didn't tell them that the get-together was for a birthday but they figured it out and deposited a luscious brownie in front of the birthday girl as a gift from the staff. It's the little touches that count. Twenty 8 Acres is a lovely choice for a lazy Sunday morning.
